BUG / WORKAROUND - Do not place valuable/rare T4 artisan thralls in the world

You see friend, never trust funcom after any major update. Better is wait 1-2 weeks with place named workers, check forum and then test on easy low tier workers.

If you catch new, you can keep them shrink wrapped and put them in a chest.

That is, of course, assuming that they do not auto-place once they are done cooking in the Wheel of Pain or Gibbet. Which - I actually do not know how this works and how they behave when they are done cooking. :cry:

The thralls from cages auto-place as soon as they are freed. It looks like a bug, but it is not a bug. It would cause them to suddenly disappear from the base and probably be bashed to death… next to the cage… where it reappears.

No opportunity for us to test what they released.

It was requested multiple times for some communication after they announced the release date on if they were updating Beta and it was ignored.

So my assumption is that internal testing was done on a build that they had intentions of releasing sure, but as per usual, not enough time. So the rest of us still testing were testing for no reason for a period of time.

I don’t want to sugarcoat this whole mess but on EL I kind of enjoyed my rescue-mission. Better than decorating the base for sure, and I luckily haven’t any irreplaceable crafters at EL. But on Siptah it hurts me a bit more.

But this was complete avoidable and the non-communication is really bad, no excuses.

Yeah i know the private servers i use will be ok since they are very accommodating.

If the crafter is on a bench , that said crafter stays there- dont eat, dont move, dont do anything other than bang that hammer.

This patch shoulve been for the RP crowd to be able to turn on .

On officials - i dont really care if someone ā€œImmersionā€ is broken because my army is standing in a row lifelessly staring into space. They do what i order them to- not wander around unless i want them to.

The proper way would be to code in a command system for patrol waypoints.

Proper commands for crafters to stay where they are or patrol.

Other games have systems like this. Just saying!

To think, they actually said they would prefer to delay a release to give whatever future content releases a polish and prevent critical issues.

They could have introduced this current new iteration on beta, have it tested for the worst (loss, unplayability) then released a final beta version to catch minor things for the next content release while rolling out the 2nd (current) iteration.

But, here we are instead. Deadlines, staff and players being pushed and there’s no winners.
At least, i hope noone is buying bazaar things at this point in time because this does not warrant wanting to spend money on as a voice of support or to enrich personal gameplay in my opinion.

They could have prevented all of this negative traffic, and, assuming they will push hotfixes for obvious issues they could have caught beforehand— prevented internal scrambling.

Between old persisting bugs, lack of polish of original content and the new bugs and persistent performance issues this game has become an embarassing mess.

I’m literally just refreshing my things at this point and dipping a toe in the water to see for myself what i am reading on this forum, but even when i just logged in earlier i already saw i lost a chest with a lot of high tier materials for armor and basebuilding. I hadn’t finished gearing my important thralls yet, and it looks like i won’t any time soon since i am not placing my rare Shieldwright for fear of losing it. It’s not like i can push out a single gaming session to get it all done at once either.

Hell Ɣnd high water it is. Frustrating.

Broken promises… sigh. Well, they didn’t really promise it but it felt promising? :crazy_face:

IMHO opinion I would hope it is what you say but FOMO works.

I’ve said it before: I have second hand embarrassment.

Luckily I didn’t have anything established as I pulled back in the spring. I’m not seeing or feeling the loss like so many in that way. I’m so sorry to all those, just like with the Nemedian fiasco, the decay timer changes, the turtle problem, the duping from AoS, all of those who have experienced hard earned and time lost from very serious preventable mistakes. Not excluding my own playing losses from hackers, exploiters, stalkers and Zendesk spammers.

Well this is the result of that.

The real test is officials once it goes live.

However currently i can only gather resources and cant actually make anything i need for purges for example on one server.

I need gaseous orbs , cant do it without an alchemist. Now i can go get a noob alchemist easily…only to have them disappear when i come back to base?

I watched the feed from the testlive - i know people reported it.

They need to actually play the game without admin commands to know whats going on.

So when they get feedback- login and play it out without admin commands.

Now ill go back to my corner because im making too much sense here…

Ok so 20h after my temp solution I join the server and no thrall is missing and the one that was missing came back

this was told several weeks ago, i begged funcom to not release this as it was on testlive, they launched an untested fixes. and left critical bugs that was reported by Kikigirl untouched.

yet we have the very few people very happy wth the update such as @Hiveshadow …

Kikigirl did report a lots of issues,. problem is a very inneficient and crappy QA , funcom has not fixed yet, the have in place the same process, they build this over a flawed foundation, and what other thing you can expect? they did the same wrongs, you can expect a different outcome.

they should greatly increase the rate on how t4 thralls are found across the game for at elast a couple weeks

yes by holding the update futher testing and changing the implementation as many times it was requested and ignored.

sad to say , but i told this was a waste of time, they did not even had the time or the balls to respond to your question if you should keep testing or pack up.

I will blame the one telling pr peopel to do their pr people , the issue is a sistemic one, and it got worse with whoever is running this circus (is it dennis?) i dont know, thery really needs changes in how things operate.

some of us @Kikigirl and i knew where this were coming, we talked several times, adn we were always in agreement this was far from ready. and sadly we were right!

i do hope this is brought up by our famous content creators

@KiahonfireOfficial @Anabriella @Wak4863 , if one thing i have learned over the years is that funcom seems to react to pressure and bad visibility. so i beg you guys take what is happening and help with your grain or pound of sand , to have funcom check and hopefully change how they are doing things in the game.

Yeah well ive had enough. Ill be body vaulting important stuff on Officials and going to private servers. No decay to worry about there.

Its too bad since the system worked until they change the game (which they can do to anything they wish), but i dont have to play it on officials.

And since they cant do this correctly, i have zero reason to go to Dune and pay a monthy fee? No way sorry.

it would help more if you stayed and keep helping put pressure on funcom, but i underrand where you coming from, i feel you brother/sister
