A suggestion which probably isn’t easy to implement but I will ask anyway. I would love to have a check or a way to tell if there is a newer version of the mod on steam than the one I am running. If you are playing on a server eventually the server will be updated, you will get a mismatch with wrong version but in singleplayer there is nothing to compare against so I need to monitor for mod updates myself. Steam used to download the updates automatically without fail but nowadays it is often the case that you have to unsub and re-sub to trigger the update.
I don’t need the launcher to update the mods for me or offer a manual update. This is something I can do myself. The way I envision it is a column in the mod tab with a tick if it is up to do date and without if there is a newer version available.
