Hello everyone is there a setting in the single player’s admin setting for the limit on how many building pieces can be used ?

Ah. And there’s no standing torch or anything like that nearby? (It didn’t look like there was in the video, but just to be sure.) And you’ve definitely tried building it from standing a bit further away to make sure it’s not somehow counting as you overlapping with the piece? I found a couple of related reports (from PC, but Legacy, so could be related) - see here and here One suggestion from Xevyr was to try unequipping equipment and armor (stick it in a box) because apparently some pieces can interfere in odd ways. Another suggestion someone else made was to either fly or build up a scaffolding nearby that you can aim down from. We’re getting into some weird areas here unfortunately. @stelagel @sestus2009 @Croms_Faithful have any of you gents got any idea what could be causing it to be impossible to place a building piece (somewhere that should be fine) on PS5? Any workarounds specific to PS5? Edit: some more related reports - here here

I have direct communication with Nicolas through Psn , he is my one and only Greek friend on Conan exiles through the years. Unfortunately i have no clue how to help him, his bugs are unique through the years, he has been extremely unlucky to these situations. Sometimes i wonder why he keeps playing and the answer is no other because he is a fool. Yet again like we say in Greece, show me your friend to tell you who you are , so this makes us both fools  . My solution to these issues is … Uninstall. Install. Start from scratch!

nope, no decorations near the areas in the single player where I encountered the issue.

Yeah, that’s what I figured. Best I’ve got then is the other suggestions in that post - standing further away (which I’m sure you’ve tried) - aiming down from above (probably already tried), removing equipment etc. From what stelagel says, it seems unlikely there will be a solution…

Do you see the building in the foreground on the right? The top section of the tower’s roof kept collapsing, so I shortened it; the game wouldn’t let me build any higher, either. This spot is on the river, not far from the Cloaca. [Screenshot_140] A bit further along—where another river flows into the main one—an acquaintance of mine was building a base but couldn’t finish the second-floor roof; a single corner block either wouldn’t place at all or, if successfully positioned, would simply vanish. A little further on, a female friend was also building a base—a skyscraper, actually. The birds flew below her, yet even she eventually reached a height where her upward ambitions were capped. In other places, however, people built such towering structures that you could reach the top by hopping from one lift to another. You couldn’t even see the ground anymore—just fog all around. :woman_shrugging:

[image] Tatyana: yet even she eventually reached a height where her upward ambitions were capped There is (or at least used to be in UE4) a maximum height limit, that would explain the end for the skyscraper. But that shouldn’t affect lower structures like the other examples. It would be interesting to figure out if the precise locations are the cause, or if there is some other factor.

As you can see, there is also a tall tower in the background of the screenshot, but there were no issues with its construction. This screenshot was taken in UE5. [Screenshot_221] This screenshot shows the towers from a different angle; you can see that they are close to each other.

Yeah, those towers should be nowhere near the height limit. That should be more like the skscraper situation you described. These sorts of towers should be well short of the limit.

But the main thing is that they are located close to each other; however, the one further away can be built taller, whereas the nearer one cannot.

It could be a weird thing to do with the exact spot that a tower is in. Or it could be to do with support. If you put pillars all the way up inside the middle of the one that cannot be built higher, can it be built higher then? If it can, then the problem is just having enough support. If it can’t then something strange about the location might be limiting it.

I’m on single player and I have the “build anywhere” option on. And yet the issue persists.
look here:

due to this issue I can’t play single player on ps5.
