Why do building sets one pays money for end up being woefully incomplete? Yeah yeah, I can always not buy the set, yet there are sets that couple so well with your character that you think to yourself “I will make it work somehow”; only to realize you are ham-strung by the lack of missing pieces *cough* Lost Dungeon, Arena, etc.*cough*. Again, I KNOW I can choose not to purchase it, but Quality is in the hands of the maker, not he/she who purchases the item; the devs have a responsibility as well, as I have the responsibility to pay for it. As a former artist, I took pride in my work; I made damn sure it represented my full capacity, every time. I feel these people at Funcom have no such dogma, sometimes they are thoughrough enough, but mainly their ethos is that of laziness, and yes, one still makes the purchase; albeit with a knot in one’s stomach.
Funcom, would you please show some pride in your work?
P.S. The extended stone set in the store should have been part of the initial set, and have that as a paragon for all sets.
It is tragic how many otherwise good sets lose so much flexibility because the deliberate decision was made not to include wedges or roofs, or slanting walls or fences, ect…
Over the years they have had curated feedback groups, organizations attempting direct communication, ect ect ect…
But most have noted quite a bit of radio silence in the last year or so. This one knows not the precipitating event.
In short, probably futile, but there’s a chance someone will see something and pass it along. That chance is likely lower with the loss of the last member of the engagement team that frequented (and this one uses that word so loosely) this forum.
For years, I hoped they would release a 2x2 gate for all sets.
It’s a huge missed opportunity. Currently, only Stormglass has it, and it would be useful. The normal gate is just too big.
On the other hand, it doesn’t matter now. BLB is overpriced, and I have to be online to even access it.
By the way, just the day before yesterday, I had to relog into the game because even though I was on the official server, the game decided that my purchased content from BLB / BP didn’t belong to me.
Yes, relogging easily fixes it, but it’s annoying, and the fact that it keeps happening speaks volumes about FC’s capabilities.
(This bug has been around since BP/BLB was introduced, which was YEARS ago!)
