Could Funcom hire building set designers that actually play the game themselves? That way we might have full pieced sets that would work as should. Or let a player test the sets before selling them for a high price, we used to get DLC sets with a ton of stuff basically for the same price as we now get a non-working set that lacks the needed pieces to properly build without mixing up themes that look just horrible together.
It would have taken me 30 minutes to point out all of the bugs for example on the Aesir set. Curved ceiling doesn’t snap to an inner side of a wall, won’t snap at all to a support frame though the normal ceiling piece does. Curved fortified wall can’t be placed unless it contacts the terrain which limits the use of the walls drastically and makes it very difficult to build symmetrical buildings. And of course the fence piece can’t be copied, but that’s just a small nuisance.
These sets are very expensive compared to what we used to get and therefore i think they should be tested properly before release and include all of the pieces. Stormglass expansion worked because it was textured the same as the original. Turanian on the other hand doesn’t fit at all to the original and has to be completed with pieces that just do not look right. I mean seriously, there’s the sloped wedge roof so why not include the inverted ones as well? You could do so much more with it if it would have just couple of pieces more. Same with the Aesir, couple of sets have pieces that work with it just fine but for example none of the sloping walls look good. Small details to developers but a huge thing to someone who builds. A lot.
