frustration level with funcom = 1 Million and above…

it was the sound.pak for one of our players. you may want to delete that one and redownload it by verifying the files. \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Content\Paks
alternatively, check which .paks are corrupted by sorting them by date in the paks folder after you verify. if it happens again, just delete the problematic ones and redownload them
I understand that solution might be easy, but I have reported so many issues to funcom in the last month that my fingers are not able to execute the recommended action due to tiredness. However, thanks for suggesting it
