I have noticed today that I cannot harvest iron? I can harvest stone as normal with my pickaxe, but if I try to harvest iron, although it registers as collecting iron in the bottom right corner of the screen, when I open up my backpack, there isn’t any iron collected?
Maybe your inventory is at maximum capacity?
Even if you have Beast of Burden for limitless weight, you can still hit a full inventory.
Is the Exiled Lands or Siptah?
Overall, however, I suspect you have a synch issue where the resource does not really exist but the graphic has rendered so you are harvesting nothing.
A check is to note the durability of your tool prior to hitting the resources and then after. If it has not decreased, you are hitting nothing. If it has decreased, you are harvesting but getting caught in a sync issue where it can be some time before the registers.
This was a bug they added in Age of War. So, apparently, we were harvesting wrong and they have sorted it for us

Nope. I was about half my weight allowance. I restarted the game and appeared to fix the problem.
