Cannot join someone I've been playing with for days, but can join anyone else

Bug Description:

When I try to join my friends private coop session on the Exiled Lands it says “Internet connection lost. You must be connected to Xbox Live in order to play online. Please ensure you have an active Xbox Live connection.”. The same happens when he tries to join my coop session. After one or more attempts it just says “Failed to join requested game.”. We can successfully join official servers and other private coop sessions. It simply will not let us join each other. We have been playing together for the past 4 days with minimal issues. Today it suddenly disconnected me. This has happened once and it fixed itself quickly, but now it has not fixed itself for over 24 hours. Any ideas? I created a private coop Isle of Siptah map and he could join that fine. Xbox Live subscriptions aren’t the problem, neither is connection as we’ve tried Diablo 3 and RDR2 online and it works fine.

I reported this issue about 14 days ago. Says someone is assigned to it 12 days ago, but have gotten NO response. I can’t even start/ join a co-op game with my roommate on their xbox.
