Bug Description:
Hi Everyone
Since the chapter 3 update i’ve been unable to connect to my lan server with a direct connexion while all my friend can still connect to it from outside the lan via the public IP with the proper NAT redirections.
I’m hosting my games using the pterodactyl appliance on a local server.
Before the chapter 3 update, everything was working and we have been playing the game for months on the server.
I tried creating a fresh game (without mods, new database, basically spawning a new container), changing the ports, using other working (from other game instances) ports into the conan exiles server and nothing.
I can connect to any other hosted game instance on my server ( ark, 7dtd, terraria … ) without any problem. It’s just Conan Exiles that does not seems to let me connect and always fail with a “Connection timed out! Could not find server”.
After debugging the hardware, software and sniffing the traffic the only thing that i found is in the client log. Every time i try to connect to my game server (port 28017, serverQuery port 28018) i have a line added the the log that says : [<date_of_the_log>][ 39]LogNet:Error: Failed to ping address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:28018
The server is pingable and accessible and as i said every other game server works and is reachable.
It’s like the client is not incapable of talking properly to the server on a local network.
Thank you for your help
Bug Reproduction:
1/ Install pterodactyl and wings on a server
2/ pop a conan exiles server
3/ try to connect to it
