Changing a Greater Rhino into the Turanian Rhino makes if a Regular Rhino?

When I got my Rhino tamed it became a greater Rhino and I changed it into the Turanian Caravan Rhino and now its no longer a greater Rhino its just has regular stats as a normal Rhino
