Bug Description:
I know that some people have been complaining about the accountant talking too much (which is true, his timer is set to 15-45 seconds and he has only 5 voice lines to pick from - which gets old very fast.)
However, that’s not the bug… the bug itself is actually the fact that people on dedicated servers may not enjoy this wonderful new addition, since there is a bug in the code.
Yes, somebody by mistake is running the audio cues exclusively on the server… even made very pretty reroute nodes which should be sort of backwards (that node should be called on every machine that is not a dedicated server - however I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt in assuming that it was originally defined as a multicast event, otherwise it would be too pretty of a bug
)
The result is that the overly chatty accountant is only brave enough to speak in Single Player mode, since that’s the only case where the server is also the client so it’s capable of playing the audio.
Another additional problem that is related to this, so I will mention it, is that with such high frequency the subtitles actually become more of a disturbing factor than the voice lines, because they have a higher z-index than anything on screen and even display on fullscreen UI modules.
For example whenever the accountant is speaking, his subtitles prevent clicking of the 3 middle Battle pass challenge Complete buttons until the subtitle goes away.
Bug Reproduction:
