Combat Bug. Arrows don't hit enemies that are also being hit by melee

Game mode: Online official
Type of issue: Bug
Server type: PvP
Region US-East

Major game breaking conmbat bug. playing with 2 friends, only 2 players needed for bug to occur.
Arrows fired by player 1 at an enemy (dragons in the unnamed city), happens with other mobs also, go right through the mob when player 2 is melee hitting the target.

2 players can hit an enemy in melee relatively safely, but 3… not really, so one of us decided to use a bow, which is how we found the issue which renders bows useless in team play. bug always happened over 2 hours of testing.

step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced.

  1. have 2 players attacking a big target for ease of proof, 1 melee and 1 archer. have another player confirm visually what is happening.
2.fire arrows at target, confirm they can hit.
3.have the melee player start attacking, and fire more arrows. you will notice they just go through.
4.If 2 players are hitting the mob, then arrows will only ever hit if they land during breaks between melee attacks.

There’s just no way this is intentional. its really not fun playing with others with this type of combat bug.
2 people max, 3 is a pain.

Are you sure that it isn’t just a visual bug? Have you checked with snake arrows and the poison debuff?

actually this was specifically done with poison arrows, and the debuff was not being applied in the described situation.

good call krampe, i forgot to mention that in my original text

not only that if the melee player is behind the enemy the arrow goes through and hits the friendly player.
we thought our archer was just really “bad” haha, until i saw the arrows going right through. that’s when we paused and tested the situation out.

the poison effect was landing on me, a melee player behind the target. If i just used my shield, and didn’t attack, the arrows stopped going through and the poison debuff appeared on the big/small dragons.

Very good to know, thanks for your tests!

so I’ve tested this situation on most of the mob types in game and this issue is constant.
