Awesome thank you
Gonna lose my mind. I used to host a conan server privately, for me n a few friends, like 3-4 years ago…then I seemingly couldn’t anymore.
2? years ago, suddenly…I couldn’t host Space Engineers anymore. Then, i couldn’t even host Stellaris.
A year ago, I finally found the issue (some old installation of conan server kept launching at start up and blocking the ports), and then I was able to host SE n Stellaris again.
But now, today, still…I cannot host Conan. I changed to 7788 port. I’ve turned multihome on.
I’ve turned it off. I’m port forwarded on my router. I’m greenlit on my firewall. And yet…reds across the board for the port test. Not to mention now, on 1.9.2…sometimes when I launch the EXE…it acts like I’ve never launchedi t before, and it seems to need to freshly download/update the client…and wipes all of my server settings. So that’s cool.
Pls help. I jsut wanna play with friends on not coop mode…
I assume you all noticed that the player count is now correct, the server is now properly printing the “join” and “disconnected” events, so that solved the problem.
And here is a new minor version:
1.9.4 (21 may 2026)
- Revamped the “RequiresRestart.txt” to use the file and server process timestamps to verify if the handling of the file makes sense at all (avoids infinite restart loops)
- The performance priority combo now has a “Unchanged” option which disables the performance options of the DSL
- When one of the three performance modes is enabled, the DSL now actively forces the affinity and priority of the process on each refresh tick if it had been changed by the server
Dedicated Server Launcher 1.9.4
RequiresRestart
The “RequiresRestart.txt” is a text file created by the server to communicate with management tools like the DSL. It contains a message that can be displayed by the tool to indicate that the server needs to restart - and why -. And when the server is restarted, it takes care of deleting the file.
For some reasons, a few among you ended up with a file that did not get deleted, so the DSL chain restarted the server. Hopefully the code change will fix that (basically if the file modification date is older than the time when the server was started, we just ignore it).
Performance settings
Regarding the priority changes, it’s mostly that contrary to the UE4 version of the game that happily accepted the core/priority changes and did not change them after… the UE5 version seem to dynamically change these values “sometimes”, so the way the DSL was doing it does not work anymore.
Now, if the DSL is setup to use normal/above/high, it will enforce these values as soon as they change.
And in case that causes problems, there’s now a new “Unmanaged” mode that just let the server do whatever it wants.

My suggestion is first to switch back to 1.9.3 to see if the problem still happens (most probably will, I don’t see what 1.9.4 could have caused to the server). The second step would be to force “validate” the installation in case of invalid/corrupted files.
If the problem still happens, I suggest joining the Admins United Discord server, because I can’t provide any help on the actual server, I don’t even have the source code of the UE5 version, it’s done and maintained by Inflexion, not Funcom.
First of all, thank you for the ongoing development of the DSL.
I have a request: is it possible to have the pop-up windows—for example, for a server restart—display only in one corner of the screen without requiring an “OK” confirmation? The reason is that we’ve set double NPC damage on our server, and if you’re in a boss fight, the time it takes to confirm could mean the difference between life and death ![]()
Thanks, I had a feeling. I know it works with Pippi,
but unfortunately the mod isn’t finished yet.
I recently swapped from 1.9.1 to 1.9.3 and my server ping, according to the ingame server list, has gone from under 100ms to over 1500. It doesn’t seem to actually have such a high ping once I log in, however. (This is for the Enhanced version)
For all the “upgrading DSL from a.b.c to x.y.z and that resulted in the server doing something different”, then please:
- revert to the previous version and check if…
- the server is still behaving with the same
- the server is behaving differently
In 99% of the cases, the DSL changes have zero impact on how the server behave, it just happens that the server got updated, or a mod got updated, or your windows got updated.
If you can confirm that reverting to the previous DSL fixes the issue, then sure, by all mean make a report. If reverting to the DSL does not fix the problem, then it’s not a DSL issue, and that has to be reported to Inflexion.
Trying to get Mods to run all correct server side and player side they load in single player but when I join the server it gives an error that the server does not allow mods Is there a setting i have missed?
I am experiencing the same issue that was reported previously. The “Check for Updates and Restart” option is selected, and the timer is configured to run every 30 minutes. However, DSL does not appear to check for mod updates automatically.
I also do not see any console messages indicating that the server or mods are being checked automatically for updates. If I manually click the “[?]” button, DSL immediately checks for updates and starts the auto-restart process to download the updated mods.
Please see below for the output generated after pressing the “[?]” button. This feature is not working for me in either DSL v1.9.3 or v1.9.4.

Found things to update: #3729527182 (Navi’s Revived Leveling [Enhanced])
Ok, so the actual check works, it properly detect there’s an update, but the automatic polling does not work?
Yes, that is correct. The automatic polling (set to 30 min in my case) does not work. DSL does not automatically check for server/mod updates even if “Check for Updates and Restart” is selected. I tried to set the timer to lower values (ex: 5 minutes) but it still doesn’t work.
It will check and pull the updates only if I manually press the [?] button.
Sure, here is my DSL UI:
htt ps://drive.google.com/file/d/1xebUDR1HuA0bqhx0os3FD2dNzMgcS964/view?usp=sharing
Please remove the space between “htt” and “ps” for the valid Google Drive link. I am not allowed to post pictures or URLs since I am a new user.
Many thanks to Toolguy for clarifying this situation. It appears that two conditions must be met before DSL will automatically check for server or mod updates and initiate a server restart when an update is found:
- “Check for Updates and Restart” must be selected.
- “Restart daily at” must also be enabled/ticked.
After discussing with @Radoi here is a new version.
There was only limited testing, so please try it and give feedback.
1.9.5 (27 may 2026)
- The mod check should properly be called now even if the daily server restart is not enabled.
- Fixed an issue with the port check which in some cases would fail to report a timeout
- Added a -testportforwarding command that allows port checking arbitrary ports using the command line, ex: “7777:UDP”, “7777-7778:UDP,27015:TCP”, "“192.168.1.5:7777-7810:UDP,31982:TCP”
Dedicated Server Launcher 1.9.5
Mod check
Version 1.9.4 and earlier required the “daily restart” option to be enabled for the check to work, hopefully now that will also work if you have not enabled it
Port Forwarding
When doing tests I found out there was a race condition on one of the checks which would report that the test was successful because the error message was not properly set.
While I was at it I added a command line parameter to use the DSL in command line as a quick way to test one or many ports.
I’ve been using v1.9.5 for the past two days and haven’t encountered any issues. The automatic server/mod update check works correctly and operates independently of the daily restart option.
