Unhandled exception - specifically, an access violation error while trying to write to memory address 0x00000790, no clue the cause.

It only is happening on my Siptah server, not my EL server.

We seem to be getting the same error on our Siptah server too. For the server I am, on it seems to only happen roughly 12 seconds after we get on the island located in the north east. Grid N-O 12-13, at least thatโ€™s the spot weโ€™re aware of.

I donโ€™t know if it happens consistently in the same places for other people or not.

Being on that island doesnโ€™t trigger it for me. Youโ€™re sure youโ€™re getting EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION writing address 0x00000790?

Dying to know what the trigger is. It seems more to be related to specific players than locations in my case.

Thereโ€™s some ERP siptah server with 40 people on, they claim they arenโ€™t crashing, but they wouldnโ€™t let me stay around to ask questions because I didnโ€™t ask while roleplaying or some such nonsense.

Having buildings in the spot shown in the screenshot at C-9 causes server crashes when a player enters the vicinity. Removing the structure here on my server resolved the issue. I tested it again multiple times in single player to be sure before commenting. Additionally I witnessed a multiplayer RP server that had discovered the solution to the problem, and somehow disabled the npc, but Iโ€™m not sure how yet since they refused to share any information. Likely a setting somewhere for it somewhere.

Running an old launcher should not be a problem (except if itโ€™s a very old from before things like product id change happened).

New versions only provide new features or small bug fixes, there are very few โ€œmust haveโ€ versions, and when that happens you will notice that very quickly because the game will not even start at all.

Thanks for the response, I figured as much, but I just wanted to eliminate all options since it was suggested. I am however, 100% certain, that the area I mentioned two posts up at C-9 was the problem area, at least in my case, and I would love it if someone can suggest a way to temporarily disable these event npcs until the issue is fixed.

Gotta repeat what Iโ€™ve been told apparently, but here goes.

Expect jank after major updates on servers with mods, and for whatever reason Siptah (with/without mods) too.

Last week my server went through their own onslaught of problems that slowly were fixed as the days spilled forth.
