Conan Exiles Enhanced - Community Update #2

Greetings Exiles,

Thank you all for your incredible support with Conan Exiles Enhanced. It’s been an amazing first week, seeing so many of you jump into the game to resume or start a new adventure in the Exiles Lands! Together you’ve passed 47k concurrent players on Steam, a new 24 hour peak we haven’t seen since 2018.

Online experience and server performance

While many of you have a fantastic time with the game, with some seeing the same or better performance compared to Conan Exiles on UE4, we recognize that despite the completely new hardware Conan Exiles Enhanced is running on the online experience is still not where it should be.

From day one, the team has been working hard on mitigating the high server ping and latency issues with various hardware and game-related changes.
So far, we have increased the number of machines in high-traffic regions and remapped the servers globally to ensure that there are no hardware bottlenecks impacting the experience.

We have tested disabling the Living Settlements on a few selected servers and checked whether there are any major bugs or game issues that are causing the problems you are seeing.
Right now, we are working on more complex adjustments that will require a good degree of testing, which we intend to deploy as soon as it can safely be done. We will share more details whenever we can!

Hotfixes and patches

Our newest hotfix was released 2026-05-13T14:00:00Z and includes:

  • Legacy servers upgrading to Enhanced no longer need to update config files to address version compatibility issues.
  • Fixed Nudity settings
  • Fixed issue that could cause emotes learned from the start of the game and discovered in the world to be removed from characters. Unfortunately, any emotes previously learned in the world will have to be re-learned.
  • Living Settlements have been re-enabled on the following servers:
    • 1516 / 1942 / 1509

You can check out the full list of changes and fixes here: Conan Exiles Enhanced Hotfixes - #7

Next week, you will see the first game patch including various improvements and bug fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where filtering servers by favorites showed all servers as favorites
    • Filters are now saved between sessions
  • Improved server browser performance on filtered searches
  • Optimized inventory searches, which had a big impact on player spawning, especially when players have a lot of DLC available.

Again, full patch notes will be shared on the release day.

As aways, thank you for your continued patience, understanding and support while we work on improving the game experience.

I appreciate these open and regular updates @Dana. It lets us know what the current focus is and what/when to expect fixes. Pass my thanks along to the team, please. Hopefully, these mini-community updates with clear communication keep coming because it’s a light at the end of the tunnel, not total darkness.

Any ETA on when legacy issues with transfers and such be addressed?

Here’s some info:

5453 players short of all time peak! Congratulations, Funcom and Inflexion. Keep on going.

We are all having a blast despite the rubberbanding, but that does not mean people arent affected by this, yes if you play single player the game runs sooooooo smooth, early mornings when like 6 people are on game runs sooooooo smooth, but there is not one single official server, where there arent rubberbanding issues when playercount goes to 15+ so please acknowledge that (we have characters on 10+ official servers, the ones that run great is because they are deserted almost), we all want the same thing, to play conan with the least lag as possible!

Im interested in hearing how did that test go? was it a major contributer to the rubberbanding? or did it have no effect?

There is actually a major bug impacting playesr that have been transfered with markermap full from ue4 to CE; since 8th those players lost ability to recall corpse as game engine considere no corpse to recall, dearth marker and all markers invisible on map. please is inflexion aware of this bug and is it intended to patch it quickly, that now more than 1 week and nohting answered to ticket.

i love the hard work just my server 1513 is never up long enough to enjoy lol

Rubber

3 different people talking about the lag on the official we are on currently, 22 people on, this is THE only thing i wish would be fixed, besides that the game is amazing..

I bought this game for myself and my girlfriend when I saw that they had improved the graphics and it was really beautiful. I came from Dune and fell in love with Conan, and I was already planning to buy all the DLCs. However, the 400 ping on any populated server and the inability to transfer characters like in Dune make it pointless to play. On private servers, progress is reset, and there are no clans, sieges, or PvP on empty servers. This means that we voluntarily lose a portion of the potential content when we level up and get tired of building and grinding, as we cannot transfer our characters. And we can’t play the full ones because the ping is always over 300, so we just sit and wait for a miracle… When the developer finally allows us to play the purchased Online sandbox with castle sieges like in the trailers…

They turned it back on again, so my guess is any difference it made was negligible.

Thanks the Dev team for the update and you Dana for keeping us posted.

Do you know if the light sources/Illumination is getting addressed any time soon?

I can’t even see my benches inside my base even with a torch on every wall (which is excessive) and have to wait for daylight to come back when out and about to keep moving because torches are kinda useless.

I really hope the stability, lag and rubberbanding fixes wont be focused on just official servers, there are private servers and self hosted that need attention.

Official Server #1045 works fine ( if I am able to join), Official Server #1044 kicks me out after a few minutes cause if problems with the internet (and did it before the Update as well).

Funcom took so much effort to make Conan fit for 2026 but they ruin it with servers who can’t handle it anymore. So many players came back ans they will leave again if Funcom isn’t able to fix the server problems. Sad for a game i play for such a long time.

Oh and it would be nice to fix the offline bug. It is a pest to relog at Steam every time I want to play just to be shown as online and be able to play with the Bazaar items.

I am still waiting to hear if the love will be spread to those of us without the ability to see into the future and made the mistake of buying the game on a non-steam platform. I just wanna have my pretty things I spent too much money on. :sob:

We need to focus on the server lag before anything else, as it is the game is unplayable and it’s really disappointing I got all my friends to buy the game as I played it for years just to not be able to do anything this is the only issue that need addressing. If the servers have high ping as always you can’t even log in and if you do get in you can’t do anything. Please fix this before all my friends quit the game and the community decides to do this also

All of my base gone by lost stability after update from Legacy to Enhanced

Latest update broke Unreal 5 Engine. Game won’t load. What is the fix?

I am having issues playing the game on my freshly updated rig since enhanced dropped. The dreaded directx12 error. Any idea of fixes? Having to stream it from a lesser machine to my primary has been nutty.

Issue is being addressed as I write.
