Conan Exiles, High Setup

Hello Exiles!,

¿ Can I play Conan exile with my Laptop computer with I7 8th gen, 12 GB Ram ,GTX 1050 TI in High?

Hi there. You can check the recommended configuration of this game on Steam.

If your graphic card is higher than the graphic card on Steam, you can play it comfortably.

I7 8th gen, 12 GB Ram is enough for you. Also, I think you should limit the FPS at 60, turn on the Vsync

I am using the I5 9400f, and it’s still enough.

Yes and maybe not.

I believe you probably do have the specs to play the game fine. However laptops are notorious for having bad design in airflow and prone to slow downs due to heat. It might help to tell us the make and model of the laptop (who makes it and which model it is).

I know MSI has some decent results. And I personally haven’t had issue with Asus (but this 14 years ago).

I don’t think you’ll have a good time playing on high with this hardware in a notebook.
Maybe medium low will give you a better experience, with higher fps.

And also like Taemien said about cooling might hit the frame rate as well. Especially when it throttles due to the heat.

I think your gfx card is the biggest issue compared to what is “recommended”, it is also unclear to me on what resolution “recommended” runs. Lowering the resolution also has influence.

Side note: usually a laptop gfx card is slower than a full factor pc gfx card (usually around 70% efficiency when its heated up).

Usually is the keyword here. I have a laptop that when I got it, was getting heads and tails performance over my PC. It has a i7-6700HQ and a GTX1070 where the PC had a i7-4790K and a GTX970. But that laptop had incredible airflow for a laptop and didn’t have overheating.

As a side thought… I’m beginning to think the meta for GPU’s right now is to get the one with the most VRAM you can afford. There’s not really many games that require all the processing power of the $1000< cards. This is assuming of course you’re not doing VR or Raytracing.

But after seeing what even 980s can still do, as long as VRAM doesn’t cap out… this seems to be true. I’m sure many would disagree.

Ty man, my laptop is Dell G515.

You can also get a cooling fan stand if it does have heat flow issues. My laptop runs it on ultra with a 1070 just fine on a set of fans. I have 16 GB of ram but 12 is probably fine.

Thanks, i this moment i bringing that in my laptop.
