Connection Failure Could Not Connect To Server Authentication Failed
Failure Received Authentication Failed! Ok A
Getting this error today after not getting it yesterday. Scrolled back through forums, I have tried:
-restarting client
-restarting computer
-unsubscribing mods
-verified that the mods I have are the same as on the server
-starting a single player game, then going back to the server
This is very clearly a problem with funcom, as the “A” on the Ok button proves they think I’m on some console, which I’m not and never have been.
I am very clearly not going to get any help here, or via the zendesk ticket I submitted that told me to come here.
My question is - does anyone know what specifically this Authentication service does that’s worth chasing away long time players? Is it anti-cheat, and if so, why would I care if people are cheating at a game an honest player like me can’t play? Is it making sure people pay for the game, and if so, why would anyone pay money to a company that takes money from people and won’t let them play?
