Okay something I noticed that might help narrow it down. I can pretty reliably reproduce the DC bug fighting the mammoths around New Asagarth. BUT if I fight the mammoths in the snow area North of the Mounds of the Dead, no problem. Went through 3-4 of 'em with not one disconnect. So the cause might not be the enemy type, or at least not the enemy type alone. Hope that helps.
Because new Asagarth has a lot of Npc camps around while the north has pretty much none.
Hallo zusammen,
Habe schon mehrere Begleiter deswegen verloren.
Yeah, weāre still seeing this and itās the middle of May. Seems to happen pretty consistently in the middle of purges, which is fun.
And this is absolutely untrue.
I play with my other half alone on our private server and I just started building my castle. Have no decorations yet, just a handfull of thralls and still get the disconnects when a purge happens or when I fight near npcs camps.
You should educate yourself before you throw out such nonesense.
Yup, sureā¦misinformed a bit and laying it on thick. We had building issues since a few years ago and it never caused disconnects lol. You can avoid most disconnects while playing without a thrall and avoiding npcs. You can even disconnect by simply entering your small tiny outhouse.
Sounds like you spend too much time reporting bases. Thinking at some point you should get banned for multiple false reports.
Weāve never had problems with building in the past if youāve played on 1 decent server.
On officials in the past you can stay on the server with 800-900 āredā ping
Now Battleye kick you out of server then you have ping spikes.
And since you say:
In the past we could barricade in the caves like āCreviceā
with 70 base layers on each side.
Same for Gutter tunnel.
Make pillar bases with claim around it.
And now with the new rules that came with 3.0 they punish for that.
All reports with proof āscreens and videosā are treated individually if you are in the rules you have nothing to reproach yourself for. If you think you are alone on the server and can do what you want, this is your problem.
Respectfully, you donāt know what you are talking about, while there may be some validity to overloaded servers making the problem worse, what you described is not what most people in this thread are dealing with.
This disconnect is a combat orientated disconnect that can occur on an empty official or private server, (empty of players AND empty of player built content); in my case I can recreate the disconnect with a 100% success rate by taking two thralls and attempting to fight Rockslide at Fingerfang Rock. But you have a chance of being disconnected near any NPC/Thrall/Mob combat anywhere in the world.
This specific disconnect started a few months ago and was introduced either through code or data/configuration changes on Funcomās end.
Think twice before posting with āThe Solutionā, all you are really doing is decreasing the signal to noise ratio of this thread and thus wasting peopleās time.
I allow myself to ask this question but it happens to people who have this bug of not being able to connect to your server because of too high a ping on this one and having to wait for it to drop.
f so, I may have an idea, I think that the disconnection of this product is due to a small increase in ping over a short period of time which leads to a forced disconnection by the gameās anti-cheat software. These a theory like any other but it could explain a lot of things since bosses and fights increase the base ping.
And sorry for traduction but i am french so itās a translator.
FYI, the disconnects on private servers are fractional compared to Official. I threw up a few private servers to disprove this and have done so. Maybe with Gportal hosted private servers this is an issue, but not player hosted private servers. Maybe it is the resources I allocated to my servers (8 core, 16 gb mem), but in the month my servers have been up, Ive gotten 1 disconnect and other players on all 3 servers have gotten fewer than 3 in the last month (average). On any official server, I cannot get into any fight without disconnecting.
So after getting bored in single-player (even with some mods) without a problem I decided to try out another online experience. I went to a private server with a whopping 47 mods. I thought to myself, there is no way I donāt have the same problem. I went to the same location (Circle of Swords with Rotbranch boss) with a thrall and horse. I have not once lost connection to the server. I donāt know much about where itās hosted or by whom but this is great! Iām super puzzled why on an official server with zero mods is so problematic compared to a server with tons of mods and map edits.
My advice, since we donāt have a fix, is to stop playing on servers that have this issue. Granted, you donāt know this is a problem until you have spent some time on a server to realize it is indeed a problem, but donāt get completely discouraged and give up. There are servers that run well without constant disconnects from them.
Hereās a screenshot of the console on a PVE-C official server with 6 concurrent players, lightly loaded server at 4:00pm in the afternoon, (45mins ago).
I was running past a Tiger and Elephant fighting in the Savanna on EL, I was disconnected 5 times in a row, (I wasnāt involved in the combat, just within render distance to witness the fight), as you can see thereās some pretty obvious spam going on and also another player who seems to have been disconnected multiple times at roughly the same time as well.
Please deactivate the purge system while this evidenced issue is not fixed.
Yesterday was disconnected (connection lost) when start fighting a purge.
When I relogged again I was automatically disconnected once again.
After 7 tries I finally managed to join the server
Game unplayable.
the great cause seens to be battle related, the sure bet to have a disconection is during a purge or fighting the Red Mother both give a 100% Conection Lost
i tend to think it is a ping spike that kicks you. I believe last chapter we got a high ping anti cheat upgrade. Be interested to know pings when you get disconnected. Can toggle it on using the tilde menu on pc.
Even happened during their livestream⦠and they just kept playing like it was a just a random thing. Haha.
Just happened
PC Private server,
Started kicking me, then it started to happen after just a few seconds.
Validating file local files.
I wonder if this is related to the lagg bogey that has been getting worse
After āFile Verificationā, it seems better. No disconnects since then.
This is happening on Tales of Lament - Vanilla Purist Edition, a privately-hosted server (publicly listed), which has no mods and is set to baseline āDecadenceā difficulty. The topography is not overbuilt in any way as it is only three weeks old with about ten active players at most, some of them are newbs.
The server hardware itself is professional-grade (ECC, Xeon, Windows Server, etc) and is hosted on a 1gig fiber connection with a dedicated IP. The server has no other significant roles and is dedicated entirely to game hosting. The server has been hosting other builds of the Tales of Lament series (The Exiled Lands, heavily modded, and The Isle of Siptah, lightly modded) for years and has had no problems.
The disconnects happen always on purges for nearly everyone involved, making purges insanely difficult to defeat now. I am considering disabling purges until this issue is resolved as it isnāt fun for anyone, and I donāt want my player base to rage-quit the game entirely.
EDIT: I have no tested it on my modded servers, although I may try and see if I get a significant amount of DCs. That wouldnāt be helpful to anyone else on unmodded/live/vanilla servers though.
EDIT2: I tested it on my heavily modded āTales of Lament-The Exiled Landsā server that is a few years old with a lot of mods, and was unable to replicate the issues after many purges involving multiple people who were really good sports about it. This server has mods that modify the purges, such as EEWA, Any Purge Anywhere, Fixed Purges, and others. It also has other mods that may modify combat. As such, some combination of them seem to have resolved the issue. But as noted before, this does nothing to help unmodded servers. It does somewhat rule out build up and database age though.
Funny thing is Iāve NEVER had a DC in our clan base and itās not small and there are several others around , plus itās near a sinkhole so there are plenty of portals around too
all of them were in combat at various times around the map except for one repeated with my secondary character on another server where it was near Rotbranch on the edge of the jungle - but not while fighting him but I canāt guarantee that another player wasnāt fighting him , there were a few bases around but nothing big
