Player characters seem to frequently “adjust” their z-position because (apparently) they’re not sure they’re actually walking on solid ground. This has the visual effect of the character “jerking” up periodically after you’ve stopped moving. This seems to reliably happen when moving over placed foundations, less frequently over open terrain. This has only started happening after the changes that were made to the movement system.
Edit: My guess is that this may have been some kind of brute-force fix to prevent players from falling into the middle of foundations or terrain, but it’s annoying as heck.
Steps on how to reproduce issue:
- Move around over placed foundations, then stop briefly
- Watch character “readjust” its z-axis like it’s updating where it thinks the floor is
