Containers from the Ancestral Knowledge section without closing animaion when leaving their inventory

Basic Info:

Platform: PlayStation 5
Issue Type: Graphics
Game Mode: Single Player (most likely all modes affected)
Map: Exiled Lands, Isle of Siptah

Bug Description:

If you are accessing a container from the Ancestral Knowledge section, the animations of opening and closing it are malfunctioning:
Open it once (i. e. open its inventory) and the opening animation plays as it should. However, close the inventory and the container is still displayed as having been opened.
Open it again and the closing animation is played instead. The container’s inventory is opened normally, however. Then close its inventory and the container stays closed.
This cycle can be repeated ad infinitum.

Bug Reproduction:

  1. Pick any container from the Ancestral Knowledge section
  2. Access container’s inventory
  3. Exit inventory

Normally the container in question should play the closing animation when leaving its inventory, but if it has been opened when accessing it, it stays open. Accessing it again, however, is going to play the closing animation instead.
The standard containers are not affected by this bug, though.

Final Considerations:

Since the actions being displayed are happening upon entering a container’s inventory, the necessary triggers obviously have been placed there. This, however, doesn’t make any sense for at least the trigger for the closing animation needs to be put at the spot handling the closing of the container’s inventory.
However, it shouldn’t be any problem to leave the safeguards in place to check whether the container’s state is actually matching the action that is supposed to be executed (e. g. if you access the inventory and the container is already open, don’t play the opening animation).
If necessary, this flag can be made into a counter to accommodate for more players accessing the same container as this would prevent illogical states in any multiplayer game.
