About the Copy Character Function in single player. What if was used for online official to replace the malfunctioning Character Transfer on online official?
If it was used for to replace the malfunctioning Character Transfer, the players could do the following:
Keep:
*Keep the original character intact on the server where the feature was used.
*The copy gets to keep level, features, religion, gender, emotes and knowledge of the original character.
Start over via the copied character:
*Find a place to build
*Empty inventory
*No gear
*Gather materials
*Get new gear
*Hunt for named warrior thralls
*Hunt for named crafters
*Make new tools
*Make new consumables (food, potions)
*Make new clan
If you’re on PC and on singleplayer (or have file access on multiplayer), you can character transfer yourself using SQL. Just make sure to do backups before you try it.
I’m on playstation. And sadly I can’t play single player anymore due to two things:
One. There is a bug that causes the player 's base to vanish, leaving decorations and crafting stations flowing in the air. And this issue occurs at the loading screen during the log out from signle player.
Two. At end of this September with beginning of October before and after the second disappointing of my base, I noticed missing building pieces from my base on both maps, tried to replace them but the game was acting and was not letting me to replace them or put them back.
I’m suggesting this idea for people like me who have spent hours playing the game and for people who don’t want to be trapped in either map and they’re tierd on either map following up be forced to start over on their character and spend the same or more hours than they did before.
Also this idea prevents loss of the character that you wish to copy to an other server , while with the original character transfer there were people who have lost their character during the character transfer process.
And it also prevents griefers from transferring their victim’s loot with them to an other server where the victim can’t follow.
