Corruption Affinity weapons not adding damage?

Hello everyone. I have a few questions as this always bugged me.

But. For weapons with

Corruption Affinity

They are actually not applying the extra 12.5 of damage when 20 points are corrupted

So in other words

I hold a weapon. And increase my strength
Now said weapon hits harder

Ok. Now

I add corruption points to strength , and now I hit even harder right. Ok.

NOW.
weapons with the Corruption Affinity
Should ALSO increase damage by a Total
Of 12.5 points.

Because of the corruption affinity
Any weapon with this effect
Increases 06.25 per CORRUPTED POINT
At 20 points it should be 12.5 points additional AFTER receiving corrupted strength

Just a thought here :slight_smile:
Also these weapons should also increase 12.5 percent Anywhere you have corruption points

So if you have all 3 corruption bars full

Str Vitality and authority ,
You should receive 12.5 points for each full bar of corruption. Totaling 37.5 more damage points on THESE weapon class’

Anyway. I just want to point out the corruption affinity isn’t working right. I have thoroughly tested. If you need video lmk

The Wicked edge used to be the ONLY Strength based Katana and now it’s agility adding even more thought on why it has corruption affinity

I think funcom moved it by accident. Please put back to strength base katana

Corruption Affinity deals +0.625% more damage per 1% that the user is corrupted.

The affinity does not care what attributes you have corrupted, it is only looking at your corruption percent.

If you have corrupted 20+ attribute points, then you are 50% corrupted.

That is worth +31.25% damage.

If you use a Transportory Stone several times and max out your Tainted Corruption to 99%, you will hit 61.875% harder (but also immediately die to a sudden breeze).

Being corrupted already grants you more power -

Corrupted Scourge

Deal additional damage that scales with your corrupted Strength.

+1% per point of corrupted strength.

But the corruption affinity still does not apply its additional damage to the 50% corruption already added thru attributes

To me it should be this

Add strength points - hit harder

Add corrupted strength - hit even harder

Add corruption affinity weapon - should add 31.5 more damage with weapons that have Corruption Affinity at 50% corruption - but does not

Also after further testing the corruption affinity does Not make the weapon stronger even with the use of transportory stones

It seems to not be active.

Yeah, it looks like it doesn’t work at all on any of the weapons with this trait.

I checked this again, and confirmed that it does work.

I had initially just looked at my stats screen to see if anything was changing, however, apparently the stats screen is just kind of useless.

When actually hitting someone with the weapon, corruption does make it hit for more damage.

Player Can Not see the added damage

But

Player actually hits for 35 points more physically ?

ok i finished COMPLETELY testing almost all the possibilites
so here is the Damage break down. i just wanted to see what the max we could get out of them would be and how beneficial it would be to use them.

equip cursed weapon to Corrupt your Bar only
then switch to Corrupted affinity weapon - Deparaved Spear
heavy 305 / 375 = 70 damage
Light 316 / 375 = 59 damage

Full Strength ONLY
Heavy - 258 / 375 = 117 Damage
light - 285 / 375 = 90 damage

Full strength & Full CORRUPTED Strength ONLY
Heavy - 227 / 375 = 148 Damage
Light - 251 / 375 = 126 Damage

Heavy tainted +65 % CORRUPTED No Attributes
Heavy - 296 /375 = 79 Damage
Light - 308 /375 = 67 Damage

Full str and Full Corrupted Str
heavy - 217 /375= 158 damage
Light - 242/375 = 133 damage

ONCE you teleport over the 89.5 % Tainted you reset back to half corruption, and begin your 2.5 again.
Ressurect corpse must be used first to achieve 65% Tainted Corruption
then use Teleporter for additional 18 pts of corruption or 2.5% tainted corruption there after.

teleporter adds 18 corruption after 75% corrupted
resurrection adds 4 corruption after 75%
max tainted corruption limit 89.5%

i think funcom was adjusting the taint levels during my testing, because the taint wasnt working for a couple of hours. but hey atleast we know they are listening, thank you @funcom greatly appreciated.

i know this becuase 2 days ago im pretty sure i was able to reach 99% Tainted..
or so i thought.. but hey i could be wrong…
