Crash/Fatal error

This error is identical on both my and my girl’s Steam Deck using the same mods.

Bug Description:

First after getting to the main menu it says “Failed to Login! Steam online services are unresponsive.” Right after the warning it crashes with a fatal exception. “Fatal error: [File:C:\B\tech_exiles\code\Engine\Source\Runtime\Core\Private\HAL\MallocBinned2.cpp][Line: 1164]FMallocBinned2 Attempt to realloc an unrecognized block 0000000000750000 canary == 0x0 != 0xe3”

Can you turn off your mods and let us know if this is still happening?

Thank you for your response.

I renamed my modlist.txt and then made a blank modlist.txt to disable mods as there is no opportunity to get to the Mods menu item within the game structure.

Even after doing this the game crashes immediately after it says “Steam online services are unresponsive.” Now it just says “Fatal Error” with no dialog box to the origination and then an option to send the report.

I never got a chance to go to official or unofficial with or without the mods enabled as the crash is immediate after the notification.
