Daggers' heavy attacks miss animals point-blank

Bug Description:

Dagger heavy attack misses animals point-blank.


Bug Reproduction:

Target/lock onto a crocodile or hyena and use the dagger heavy attack chain.

Traditionally, to increase the chance of hitting, you will be offered to capture the target (Q key).
What kind of daggers are we talking about?
We have TWO main types of daggers: ordinary knives with a close attack in a circle and thrust blades with a forward attack.
I would also like to mention battle sickles and even daggers in the form of axes.

Locking on makes it worse. The daggers I’m referencing here are stone daggers.

This happens on Playstation too. It’s almost like the daggers are not long enough or the npc has a shield in front of them.

Animal meshes are a mess.
They either have very small hurtbox that makes you miss, or have super large hitbox than they look, or attack you earlier than the animation indicates.
For the weapons, daggers sadly has the smallest & shortest hitbox of all. So that makes Croc + Daggers the worst combination possible. The nosetip of a Croc literally has no hurtbox, and it’s always facing you with its nose.

Stone daggers are the first type of daggers.
They have a very small radius of attack with a heavy blow, but around them. And yes, Conan has a very bad hitbox model. When you fight with a crocodile, you can assume that its muzzle and tail are almost invulnerable, you need to hit the body.

Try the second type of daggers - poke daggers.

The problem isn’t so much that they miss, it’s that the lock-on will make the swings - both light and heavy attacks - target the air above them. This seems like a relatively simple thing to fix, since the heavy and light attacks seem to be vertically offset a bit when locked on.
