Dauntless RP-PvP

Description:

Dauntless RP is a RP server based on the lore of the Conan Universe as can be found in the original writings of Howard, the lore as found in Conan Exiles and Olgerd’s Conan Lore Archives: https://discord.gg/cJJ2QGtrbT , with the addition of dark, low fantasy server lore written by members of the admin team, whilst still adhering to the before mentioned sources.

Our vision is to create an RP server where immersion and roleplay are at its core through the usage of a carefully selected mod selection and our own in-house mod. The in-house mod will include custom weapons, wearables, consumables, mechanics, materials and down the line, even a custom map. All those additions aim to enhance and elevate the RP.

An ever changing server story arc and additional smaller arcs are provided by the admins, which are shaped by and with the players’ actions with these arcs. The world is developing through the actions of the players, which is reflected in the server’s storyline, NPC population and world. We encourage RP to lift and create stories with other player. We offer a variety of professions a player can take on to deepen their roleplay and carve out a place in the world. We run our world on the Exiled Lands map, with hubs build to accommodate the roleplay.

Butcher’s Work

Swift couriers made haste to the known settlements of the Exiled Lands. Sealed by the mayoral wax seal of Eledon, papyrus scrolls were handed to all those that came surging forth from their decrepit hovels or haughty castles. Those unversed in scribbled glyphs were found to be willing listeners’ to the couriers’ words. Discovered by a seal broken or the words spoken, a call to arms was brought.

‘’The enlightened, humble, mayor Achinoam of Eledon calls upon those daunting and the fearless to drive back the cannibalistic menace that is the Yoggites of the deep desert. For too long have the hard working citizens of Eledon been cowering in their homes after dusk or check over their shoulders once they depart the safety of our fortified gates. For too long did we hear the cries of our neighbours and loved ones being brutally dragged of into the deep, dark night. Those willing to sink their cold steel into the savage raiders should gather at Eledon square at the date enclosed. (In small letters and merely whispered by the couriers) A reward of currency is gifted to those that partake in the purging.

Radiating Ultimatum

With a hollow thump and the splintering of fortified wood, an unseen arrow found itself firmly lodged in the timber palisade that marked the perimeter of now slumbering Eledon. A just dozing guard found herself a peculiar, torchlit sight. Wrapped carefully around the arrow’s shaft, there was a note of parchment. Unfurling the document, the guard soon found herself in mayor Achinoam’s quarters, presenting the grizzly report. The note read:

‘’To the cowering citizens of frail Eledon,
We know you to be in possession of a curious gem, oval shaped and iridescent in brilliance. You would do well to grant us this gem at your earliest convenience, lest this singular arrow is to be accompanied by a hail of its kind, aflame, plunging towards your hovels. Should our demands not be met, we will take the gem by sword and fire.
You have been warned.

Dumbfounded by this nocturnal disturbance, mayor Achinoam spoke in a hushed, quivering tone. ‘’Send out the couriers come dawn, I anticipate we require aid once more.’’

Moonlit Trail Of Crimson

A crude iron nail was driven deeper into the prickly wooden sign by an unkempt, bearded and fur-clad individual. As the scruffy man departed, curious bystanders would find a tattered note in a scribbly handwriting.

‘’Daring wild game hunters wanted! Only those of nerves of steel and wits of iron will find themselves capable of survival as we track down a most curious specimen that has been terrorizing the dark northern forests and snow swept mountains during the recent nights. Gather here in two nights and together, we brave few will put an end to the horror!

Frigid resurrection

Streaking across the high heavens in a shroud of darkness, piercing eyes of onyx, the sinister ravens touched down before every settlement, be they ramshackle hovel to elegant palace. Tightly wrapped around inky claw, a minute parchment, carrying a harrowing message.

‘’Beloved fellow wearers of the bracelet,
It is with great haste and dire news I have sent forth my most prized messengers. The gods, though absent and frail, have shown me a vision most foul and troublesome. Within the dark recesses of the snow-swept mountains within these lands, there’s a vile evil lurking. A sorcerer of the dark arts is forming himself a congregation of the deceased in those stone vaults, surely to release them en-masse upon our homes and loved ones. An end must put to his nefarious rituals at once! My benevolent self has arranged for swift transportation from decrepit Eledon, to voyage those that will bring a halt to the conjuror of the damned. These stalwart heroes will also be provided a suit of armour and arms should they fear their own resources to be lacking.

I plead, nay, I beg, slay the warlock of ghouls, so that we may sleep easy once more!

Anglers’ Peril

The timid, daintily donned town crier of Eledon clambered upon the oft used wooden crate in the middle of bustling Eledon, garnering the curious stares and halted treads of hurried passer-by and haggling merchant alike. Loudly clearing his wage-earning throat he proclaimed:
‘Hear ye, hear ye! The recent lack of communication and commerce with fledgling Baylem Landing has aroused great suspicion by the Eledon town council! It is at their behest that a daring expedition is to be mounted to guarantee the wellbeing and safety of the newly-found fishing port to the far-east.

As there have been concerning reports regarding activities by the sea-faring ruffians known as ‘The Black Hand’ near Baylem Landing, the generous council has provided a budget to supply those that would join the undaunted expedition into the treacherous jungle with a suit of armour and weaponry, should any daring member lack those of their own.

Those that wish to band together and seek out Baylem Landing’s fate should gather at Eledon square where ample transportation by horse-drawn cart will be provided.’

Event Description:

Aquatic Assault

From the crowded, stuffy tavern, a scarred, tired looking man, donning the now dulled and unpolished breastplate of the Eledon guard, emerged into the chilly dusk. Unfurling an official scroll bearing the sigil of Eledon, the captain began nailing the plea for help unto the already crowded notice board.

‘’A call to arms to all Exiles that find themselves willing and able.
After much debate regarding the sudden and violent emergence of the once thought mystical creatures known now as ‘The Fish People’, the Eledon town council has decided to once again call upon the steel and wits of its neighbours to mount an intrusion and assault within the suspected lair of these horrid monstrosities. Its very location will take those that heed this call back to the now undoubtedly ransacked or razed Baylem’s Landing. The council is aware of the risks such an undertaking as this might possess and is once again willing to provide those in need with weaponry and armour and of course a handsome reward should the Deep Dwellers be culled successfully. Those that wish to undertake this daring raid should meet up at Eledon Square, where horse cart and weaponry will be provided.’’

Event Description :

The scarred captain himself, donned in the heraldry of Eledon climbed upon the often used wooden crate located besides the town’s well. Curious at this sight, the usual crowd gathered. To their great horror, the gruff captain summoned a grin upon his grimace. Baring his teeth, displaying the gaps brought on by a history of violence, he exclaimed:

‘’A day of training and the provision of strength is hereby announced! During this slackening of any noticeable, direct threats, a recruitment drive has taken place and several individuals have expressed their willingness to take up the heraldry of the Eledon guard. However, the green recruits could do with a bit of diverse training.
The Eledon guard hereby asks those that are capable and willing in the arts of combat to step forward and train these recruits. A routine of several disciplines will be undertaken. There will be a fighting ring, both in disciplines of armed and unarmed combat. Followed up on this, an event of archery will take place. Mounted prowess can be shown during a joust from horseback. Concluding this day, there will be an agility course for those that are fleetfooted. Of course, those that are unwilling to partake in these events are free to spectate and revel.

The recruits will receive a formal commendation into the Eledon guard during the days’ feast, handsomely provided by the commandeered stocks of the ‘Steel Panther’ inn. There will be a fine selection of delightful and delicious dishes and the finest of beverages.
So, come all and enjoy a day of games and merriment. The silent Gods know we could use such during these dire times.’’

Ominous and grim, the sooty messengers of the mystifying Oracle soared through the seemingly darkening skies of the Exiled Lands. Finding perch upon gracious balconies, formidable parapet or aged tree, their hoarse cawing would draw the attention of many an Exile. Wrapped around curved talon, a parchment could be found:
‘’Beloved fellow wearers of the bracelet,
Once again, the Gods have made me their diligent emissary, warning me of a grave danger lurking underneath the scorching sands of the southern deserts. In an ominous complex as old as time itself dwells a being of great power. Through magics forbidden and ancient this dark magus torments their helpless victims, empowering themselves. I need not tell you what dangers the manipulation of magics can do to our lands, so I plead you to once again seek out and vanquish this foe of all that call these lands their home. Through my kindness and generosity, I have arranged transport, weaponry and armour from debilitated Eledon.

Description :

Eerie Escort :

Seemingly overnight, unnoticed by vigilant watchman and drunken reveller alike, a request, written in a deft style of script appeared upon the crude notice board of Eledon. The unknown author had the following request:
Armed escort wanted!
I, Baron Giraldino III, am in need of a weaponised escort that is to escort me from my prestigious estate of Bancia manor to Eledon proper. I fear a man of my stature and wealth would be prone to the various cutthroats and ruffians that seem to stalk every underbrush and darkened recess of these lands, hence my request for men at arms.

The preferred time of my escort would be between dusk and dawn, as I predict that most dangers, at least of the human form would be sound asleep or otherwise enclosed in their settlements or camps.

Of course, it goes without saying that you will be rewarded for your efforts in terms of coinage and a record of good conduct within the Giraldino family records.
I will await those willing to come to my aid within the safety of Bancia manor.
