Dauntless RP-PvP

Description:

Dauntless RP is a RP server based on the lore of the Conan Universe as can be found in the original writings of Howard, the lore as found in Conan Exiles and Olgerd’s Conan Lore Archives: ( Conan Lore Archives (C.L.A) ), with the addition of dark, low fantasy server lore written by members of the admin team, whilst still adhering to the before mentioned sources.

The emphasise on Dauntless RP is placed on the freedom of the players, taking a heavy influence from tabletop-like games. The decisions and actions of players dictate and shape the world around them, as long as it falls within reason, Conan Lore and our setting. On Dauntless RP, the only limitation is your imagination.

An ever changing server story arc and additional smaller arcs are provided by the admins, which are shaped by and with the players’ actions with these arcs. The world is developing through the actions of the players, which is reflected in the server’s storyline, NPC population and world. We encourage RP to lift and create stories with other player. We offer a variety of roles a player can take on to deepen their roleplay and make their character feel that more in line with their intentions.

Event Description:

New Dawn
It was the bustling talk of the New Eledon settlement. After months of ruthless hardship and being on the road, the downtrodden refugees of the Exiled Lands had found an idyllic place to settle amongst the mountainous eastern ranges of what was referred to by the locals as ‘The Savage Wilds’. Having set up a temporary encampment and a solid building that served as a hospital, the Eledon refugees could use some celebration and relaxation. Scrapping together what little rations they could spare, a festivity was to be held. All who wished to partake were welcome to visit, but it was to be known that the festivities were to be sober and also a time to reflect upon past events.

Comrades,

Some of you have met me, some I have yet to meet. I am a hunter of hunters and my prey is one you know well, the Katari Assassins, those that sowed discord in Murun.
Thanks to you helping Ze’ev find the source of their operations in Murun, their schemes have slowed, but they are far from defeated.

I ask now for direct help in dealing with this threat. No more middle men.
Meet me at the discovered den of the killers in Murun at the time and date below to keep this enemy on the retreat and our advantage pressed.

Your time and sacrifice will be rewarded.

Desolate Dreams

A fur clad, half giant of a man came strutting into fledgling Eledon town. His grim appearance enforced a sense of dread among the nervous residents and vigilant guards, knowing well to stay clear of such figures, as was attested by the last visit of a gargantuan Cimmerian. Making his way up to Market Hill, the icy man summoned a parchment from among his furs, pinning it to the crowded notice board with a curious looking pin in the shape of a feather:

‘’My dear flock,

Many silvery moons have passed since the days that we departed from the evil ridden Exiled Lands, to find a new home here within the Savage Wilds. Although you and your loved ones have been exposed by many a danger already, the Gods have granted me a vision of even greater danger still. A threat so gruesome, so vile, it can only be the very same powers that swallowed the Exiled Lands, sending us upon our Exodus. Within the eternally sweltering and shifting desert sands to the south, this power lurks, fed by unspeakable horrors from unseen shadows.

I know that you have faced many challenges already, but I must implore those that can take up arms, have knowledge of magics or those that can provide aid in any other regard to strike out and root out this eternal enemy of ours, afore our new forever home undergoes the same fate us our last. Through my grace, I have arranged transport, guided by one of my very own trusted man. Be not afraid for their appearance, for they serve me!

Taking the Threshold

A flock of onyx, scarlet eyed ravens took to the grey skies over the Savage Wilds. Setting course for the all but familiar settlements of the land, rousing attention upon arrival with a loud cawing, the inky harbingers carried with them a bronze tube carrying a message, sealed and signed by the Oracle herself. The message would read.

‘’My beloved flock,

Due to your tremendous efforts and undertaking when facing the rogue druid and bringing to me his priced artifact, you have granted me the key to lock the ominous gateway to the places of great evil from which poured unspeakable horrors. As the Gods lend me their strength and power, I have empowered the mysterious keystone to act as a catalyst to seal the monument of dread that has plagued our beautiful home for far too long.

The wild portal has been left unchecked for far too long, its energies becoming uncontrollable, even for my means. I intend to commence a ritual once again, sealing of the hellish entryway once and for all. I expect the portal to put up a fierce fight, so those that intend to aid me in this final assault should come prepared and be able to fend off any threats that might pour through.

Make no mistake, if the portal is left unchecked for any longer, we could face dire consequences once again. Do it not for me, my flock, but for your homes and your loved ones here, in the Savage Wilds.

Event Description:

Cimmerian Ceilidh

A merry fellow with the distinct, brown, ornate sash of the Cimmerian clan of Uar Druimm could be seen riding upon horseback between the various settlements of the Savage Wilds. If he was to be halted or greeted by anyone, he would have the following invitation to extent:

‘’The gracious peoples of Uar Druimm hereby extent an invitation to all those that wish to attend a day of celebration, in which Hydallan of Uar Druimm will take up the mantle of chieftain of Uar Druimm and its peoples after besting the former chieftain, Fearghus O’Doyle, in a challenge of might.
After a traditional ceremony that will see Hydallan inaugurated as chieftain, there will be a variety of contests and challenges in which attendees of the celebration can best one another for glory, bragging rights and a prize, the likes of which will be kept as a surprise.
The contests will include a fist brawl, an obstacle run, an archery shoot and as a close off, a drinking contest. Plenty of food and drink will be provided, so there will be no need for anyone.

It is in the believe of the clansmen of Uar Druimm that during these harsh times where many dangers have been faced and will certainly be faced again, it is good to celebrate on an occasion such as this.

All are welcome, as this will also be a moment of appeasement and friendship between the different peoples of the land. So, come all and come celebrate!’’
