Decay time killed this game for my clan

We recently started one a private server, the first two days 6 people came there because they went on holiday, came home to find every thing gone.
4 more folks today.
We have to go visit our officials server every 5 days, we can leave this one alone for a month.

Funcom best get their act together.

Just offical servers have those decay times, look for a private one or start a new server.
They let the decay on for officials because once people built over all officials new players had no space to build thenselves. This happened right before decay was implemented.

I was in the game pre decay time and know the need of the system! And i do understand the need when it was new and the sever s was full 24/7 to keep in level. And i do se the need of having a haed decay on small (spec t1) Buildings or sandstone snakes spamed all over the map.

But people need to be able to be away from the game a longer time. ex to keep the curent system for t1 Buildings and make 2 weeks for t2 and maybe 3 weeks for t3, atleast if they have proper decorations and crafting stations whit trralls and so on. Simply ad more time the more advansed building you have up to 4 weeks.

Also that when you have done every thing and justwaiting for the next uppdate you need to be able to do somthing ells time to time!

Honestly, decay timer really only affects PVE/PVE-C officials. ON PVP official, take more than a week break, and some clan(s) will blow thru your stuff anyways. And that is how it should be on PVP. PVE and PVE-C are kind of in a spot though. On one hand, people do need to take a break for RL and not lose their stuff, and the 1 week could affect them harshly. On the ohter, no decay system (or 1 month long) would allow for griefers to refresh, and officials would start to get massive land coverage. New players would log on and find they can only build in the most open of spots, and very bland areas.

But i still maintain, that just because the the timer is set higher, doesn’t mean there will be more players daily. It will just give more players time off, and basically servers will be giant lands of unused refreshed buildings. No easy solution.

The way I see the decay timers in-game is the advancement of time on the objects you place in the world.
One day in Conan Exiles is what, 20-30 minutes?
In a single real life day that is 48 days in-game. This is the point you want to interpret what the weather conditions are in the exiled lands. The desert gets at least 4 sandstorms a week (more if time scale is changed). Forest and jungle rains most of the day. The frozen north gets so cold you cannot climb due to frost bite.

TL:DR- how would you like to interpret the effect on your objects is what the decay timer should be. Is the a harsh exiled land, or fairytale land…
