Please put Decay time back to normal, servers unplayable

There is no log in issue on Xbox so I am not sure why the decay time is increased, but whenever you increase it although it’s with good intentions the official servers become incredibly overbuilt laggy and unplayable at times. With the new update and player influx coming it’s going to get so much worse…

Increasing decay by three days isn’t going to make that significant of a difference. Serial refreshers will be serial refreshers regardless the decay timer anyway.

It 100% does make a difference… you don’t know what you are talking about you probably play on a different platform. Conan on Xbox is free on gamepass, officials have players trying the game out building a giant base, then getting bored and leaving. It gets congested incredibly fast, even on the 7 day timer. I have been playing this game since early access I have a good clue what I am talking about I frequently roam the server cleaning up decayed bases and even just a few hours makes a difference.

I play on official PvE on PlayStation and I can say this is true. I play fairly regularly, but when I’m not on a server for a bit, i serial refresh my base. Twice a week actually. The 10 days makes no difference to me as I do it every 3 to 4 days.

You play the game regularly, you aren’t trying a game because it’s free and getting bored and moving on leaving your footprint on the server for days longer than it needs to be, when even on 7 days the servers run as if they are on life support.

This is an Xbox issue and you are on Playstation, is it even free on your platform?

Yeah, it was free some time back for plus members. Also, we got a version of PS+ like gamepass. Not 100% sure it’s part of the games available, but I wouldn’t be surprised. Regardless, serial refeshers refresh regularly. That’s the only point we’re making. The others will quit, and you’ll have a few extra days to wait. In all honesty, the time was increased due to the overwhelming request by people who DO play regularly, but have lives that make it difficult to play more than once a week, if that. It was a convenience really.

Serial refreshers aren’t the problem, you don’t know what you are talking about because the game isn’t free on your platform… being free for 1 month vs concurrently and actively free how could you possibly understand? It’s people that play and dip that is the issue, and when a game is free this is going to happen substantially more than when it costs money.

Constant stream of players checking the game out, building then quitting and the longer the decay timer is the more the congestion multiplies.

You’re right, my guy. I don’t know what I’m talking about. Peace. Best of luck.

Same here - i login everyday anyways

Exactly, so why would we need extended decay timers? Aside from server issues that prevent you from logging on there is no reason for it. It takes literal minutes to refresh your base, and you can even do it remotely from your phone if playing on Xbox or PC (not sure about Playstation)

All the decay timer does is make it take longer to clear up people’s server straining footprint left behind after they quit the game.

And im not a serial refresher- im a serial fisherman checking my nets everyday.

This was mostly, as mentioned before, for players who play regularly, but only have so much time. If they want to play official, they may not be able to get on the server more than one day a week. Let’s say a father of several little kids can’t log in except for a few hours on Saturday or Sunday, due to work and family priorities. Should he be forced to not play on official because he runs the risk of not logging into the game at the appropriate hour. If you play as much as you do, you know scavengers will raid a base that decays the moment it goes into decay. I’ve logged into the game an hour or two too late only to find my base gone and some asshat building a bunch of chests on some foundation nearby. That’s why I got to the point where I refresh twice a week, even if I’m taking a break. Unfortunately, I don’t have a super busy life (sad, but that’s another story), so I can afford to do that. Others aren’t so lucky.

I farmed oil like crazy before siptah was released when we could afk fish. Now, I just replenish with crafting it or looting it. Still got a chest half full of oil… most likely because I’m petty and use it sparingly.

Why are you even remotely gate keeping here? Yeah we all know what its like for people to try out the game and leave. It doesn’t have to be this game pass vs the rest of the world…oh how if we only knew the trials Xbox has. Puh-leaz.

Anyway before you do your point any more harm…yes 3 days does make a difference as many serial refreshers only go once a week (because heaven forbid they spend anything but the bare minimum amount of time in the game to keep their stake in the game active ). However we have hope that they get delayed even an hour or two and we can jiffy pop that blight point right off the map. Putting that extra 3 days means that hope dies.

Meh… I don’t think I want it now. I preferred it better when I could covet it because I didn’t have it. :unamused:

What are you talking about the 3 days is nice and this not cange anything on the servers whit more lags i play on x box too

Having to wait 10 days on any platform for giant lag infested bases to decay is ridiculous.
