Dedicated server crash on thrall-combat - I'm clueless here

Game mode: Online Private
Type of issue: Server crash
Server type: PvE (single player), running on local machine
Region: 127.0.0.1

[Describe the bug here]

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Run server
  2. Connect to server
  3. Fight a thrall
  4. Get disconnected as the server crashes

Okay, first, to get it out of the way, after this happened, I went through and re-verified all game files for the dedicated server AND the client. Didn’t help.

I’m running a dedicated server and the client on the same PC (which can handle the workload no problem). Doing so because single player mode respawns all creatures the moment you get a little bit away (which is REALLY annoying to me).

For quite a while I had no issues with the server, but yesterday I started getting random disconnects, caused by the dedicated server crashing. Took a while to pin it down, but it’s occuring whenever a hostile (non-tamed) thrall engages in combat (or maybe when killed, can’t be 100% sure with the minor rollbacking that occurs).

It isn’t occasional, it’s happening every time. I tried testing different thrall camps, and crashed at everyone one of them.

New to this forum, and cannot find how to attach files. And links are disabled. AWKWARD FORUM.

Maybe it is due to the mod installed?

Have you tried without it?

Yup, looks like it is the mod, though it wasn’t updated recently, so the problem was that the last update pushed by FC broke something that was working in the mod.

Plenty of feedback on the mod thread about the bug now that I go looking. Thanks for the response! (the crash log is really tough to make sense of compared to other games I’ve played).

(And thanks for the extra effort your reply involved because I’m not allowed to post links/attachments)
