Directx error install loop ;howto win10 and 11 reinstall

If you encounter directx not installed after reinstalling windows you are not alone. Windows will try to install directx in an infinite loop sometimes and here is how to avoid it.

Microsoft has likely broken some kind of backwards compatability in the newest versions of windows so please read.

1: Install windows (Do NOT update via windows update when desktop is usable.)
2: Find services (press windows button and type services) then find and change “performance logs and alerts” from manual to automatic and start it
3: then search optional features- add a feature and find and add “graphics tool” (this adds directx support)
4: Go directly to your browser and download SWL(or TSW). Install; When you start the installation of directx windows should automatically prompt you to install net framework 3.5. Install and wait for net framework to install before clicking finish on the directx installer. SWL launcher should now launch automatically. You can restart launcher to get more options now like full download speed and full installation.

After this you should now be able to safely install the later large windows update patches. If you already installed all patches and still get this error you can try some of the steps like 2 and 3 but I find it hit and miss that this will work on latest patches.
