Do not play on official servers!

I have more than 1400h in conan in pc and about 300 in ps. I am speaking to you from experience. My tribe and I are only taken off the official servers with hacks.

Three days ago I reported to funcom that a “gamer” had appeared with a speed hack.
Today a clan of 5 players has come, all with speed hack and they have destroyed a base that has been standing since the first day the siptah servers came out. Impossible to play against speed hacks. Impossible to play against funcom and its slowness. Impossible to play conan. Listen to me and play Parcheesi or watch a series, this game is badly done, you know it and they can’t help it. (I have videos of how they use the hack, but of course, in the forum I can’t put them, funcom lets hack their game but they don’t want others to see it so that people know how badly they do it)

You are right, don’t play on official servers. The game is much better and all these problems don’t exist on private servers. Just find the right one for your playstyle.

KERCHING!!! cant imagine KERCHING!!! why GPORTAL ie funcom KERCHING!!! cant be bothered KERCHING!!! to sort these problems out KERCHING!!! better rent a private server KERCHING!!! after forking out for yet another new map KERCHING!!!

G-portal =/= Funcom

And Funcom supplies a Dedicated Server Launcher 1.3.5

So if you have the hardware you can host your own server, Like I DO.

so wealthier PC users get to host free servers? sounds about right. tho, my daughter hosts a server and has to pay a monthly sub to maintain it

Official PvP servers are bad because the worst people flock to them. PvE and PvE Conflict (PC) official servers are fine.

Cute.

Play on official servers or rent your own.

It doesn’t require an expensive PC to host a server. They don’t require GPU’s so that’s $400-1000 you don’t have to spend. You just need the fastest CPU in your budget and 8GB of RAM if running no mods (16GB if running mods).

The biggest hurdle is internet bandwidth. To put it shortly, if you don’t understand why this is, you probably ought to not host a server.

But if you’re still curious, you need a decent upload rate. Your 100MBs conneciton likely only has 10MBs upload. Since the server is running on your computer it needs to have a high outbound bandwidth. 10MBs is good for small groups (up to 5 players). But that is an average level of bandwidth, frequently people tend to have lower some as low as 5MBs and even 1MBs.

But if you want one of those 40 man, 70, or even 80 man. You will need hardware that isn’t normally available for home use, and 99.9% of us who use that sort are renting it. If you’re hosting at home you’re realistically looking at 20 players tops.

we have to act as police officers. looking for undermesh, looking for hacks, looking for bugs and reporting them ourselves. You lose all your progress, we do the job of keeping their servers free of hacks and collaborating with the progress of the game and still let the hacks act free. What a piece of equipment rubbish.

Can’t speak for PvE-C but some official PvE are absolutely not fine.

Land claim with sandstone blocks all over the map and blocked pathways with no other purpose other than griefing. Same issue than in PvP, reporting the players who are doing this seems to take a loooong time to produce any effect.

Depends on your definition of “fine”. They’re certainly not a dumpster fire you’ll find on PVP servers, but I wouldn’t call them “fine”.

Some official PVE-C servers are fine, at the moment. Those are mostly running Exiled Lands map. But Siptah PVE-C? Oof. Trolls and griefers aplenty.

I’ve largely converted over to the “if you’re gonna play, do it on a private server” point of view. I still haven’t let my PvE base on siptah decay, but that’s probably coming shortly.

Just don’t mention them out loud please. I am completely content with ours right now.

Whaaat? Gportal is just one of the numerous hosters. Choose any of them if you don’t want to host a server at home. We have a 10-slot server on Nitrado, I like this hoster and advise it to all.

a week after the speed hack report, his base is still there with decay time at max. they still do not act

And?

A week is nothing. It can take a month or more as reports are investigated in the order they are received and categorized by supporting evidence. This, “I complained, fix it now attitude” is less than helpful.

pff … the supporting evidence is 3 videos of 45 minutes where 5 players are seen running like a flash surrounded by 50 warriors and archers who are not able to touch them.

and yes, my complaint is that they do nothing. if a week is not enough to ban 5 people who break the rules in that way, it is funcom is that it is slow. if you have stockholm syndrome with funcom it is not my problem. They are inefficient and period.

if my attitude is less than useful, how do you rate funcom’s attitude of letting hackers wipe entire servers?

When they take the measures, cheaters will have already wipe 20 servers and take fresh steam acc bought during the sales. And so over and over

That’s the issue. No matter how many accounts Funcom bans, in some regions the game is dirty cheap, those streaming exploits can easily buy as many accounts as they feel like.

Hey, if you need to be offended, don’t let me stop you.

I am listing out facts, being offended by fact is a choice.

“and yes, my complaint is that they do nothing. if a week is not enough to ban 5 people who break the rules in that way, it is funcom is that it is slow. if you have stockholm syndrome with funcom it is not my problem. They are inefficient and period.”

Well, either your evidence is crap of your judgement of how long the process takes, especially when they say it take more than a week is crap, or, perhaps, both.

But, again, you appear as if you need to be offended, please do not let me stop you.

“if my attitude is less than useful, how do you rate funcom’s attitude of letting hackers wipe entire servers?”

I rate it as a false binary statement.

You have the day you deserve.
