So looking at the new TCONTROL feature to toggle lights, doors, etc. But when I setup the TCONTROL orb and link a torch I can’t toggle it by using the name reference of the TCONTROL alone. I did notice that multiple items can be added to a TCONTROL, so I’m wondering if it uses a syntax like TCONTROL(1) for the index, or TCONTROL (743) for the item ID - But these didn’t work either?
Nothing seems to work and I don’t see any documentation since the Pippi control is new…so any advice is welcome.
The place for help is Pippi’s Discord. There are videos and a community dedicated to all things related to the mod. Since the CE community is expanding beyond Steam, Discord is Pippi’s central hub. Most of the more widely used mods have a central platform for their users to find help and info.
If you don’t want to download the app, it can be used in the browser as well.
I’m not a big fan of the platform overall, not just the app. But regardless, after validating my phone number (which I didn’t want to do and resetting my old account) I still can’t get the link above to work because it expired. And yes, I’ll obviously keep trying; but in the meantime. This was kind of a, “You can’t get there from here” answer and if you believe that Discord has the answer, then you should post it here where it can get indexed and searchable online instead of pushing users to Discord for which neither will occur and the knowledge will stay compartmentalized.
More useful would have ben something like… Tcontrols can’t be invoked directly from Mushi but through a tcombiner, tswitch, or tplate and these are explained in a video by Joshtech called, " Conan Exiles - Pippi - TTool Explanation + Simple TEvents Example".
But I’ll update more here for other users when I learn it better.
I understand the reservation in using Discord. One reason mods have their own communities is because this is the forum for the game itself. It would be cluttered even more if mods used it as well.
It is far easier to help with specific, mod related questions in their hubs be it Steam, Discord, or whatever the mod creator has chosen. Joshtech has a YouTube channel that does pop up when searched. I’ll link it below.
I’m sorry that my answer was not the one wanted but I do hope you’ll consider joining the community there.
Thank you also for letting me know the link expired. I’ve updated it.
