Hello everyone,
Just a quick question. Does buying the Isle of Siptah DLC add anything to the Exiled Lands map, like NPCs, weapons, etc?
Also, can I craft Isle of Siptah armour/weapons etc in my Exiled Lands savegame?
Thanks alot,
JollySam

Hi and welcome to the forums
It doesn’t directly add additional stuff to the Exiled Lands map (though, with server transfer, you can learn recipes and gather specific materials on Siptah and then bring that back to the Exiled Lands - though watch out for Yellow Lotus Potion, as there’s a bit of a bug which means you can lose some of those recipes and need to learn them again). So having the DLC won’t add new stuff that you can find or fight in the Exiled Lands, but it does add some stuff that you can craft.
The DLC specific gear - like the Slave-forged Ceremonial.Guardian armors and weapons, and the Flotsam and Stormglass building pieces can all be used in Exiled Lands like with any of the other DLCs - it’s the high end gear (like Eldarium tools and weapons and armors that can only be learned from ‘Delving’) that can’t be crafted in the Exiled Lands (or can, but as noted above you would need to transfer between the two maps).
I hope that helps
Hello,
Thanks alot. It’s good to be here.
So if I’ve got this right; the Siptah DLC doesn’t add anything new (camps/enemies/things in chests, etc to the Exiled Lands. Some of the new armours/weapons/stuff can be crafted yourself in the Exiled Lands, but others would require Siptah-only resources that would have to be ‘server transfered’, right?
Thanks alot for the help. I guess I’ll do some research into what Siptah stuff I could use in my Exiled savegame then.
Exactly
You’ll definitely have access to the Flotsam (tier 1) build set, and the Stormglass (tier 3) build set.
You’ll also get Slaveforged Ceremonial Armor (light), Slaveforged Sacrificial (medium - the name I couldn’t remember) and Slaveforged Guardian (heavy). These all come in base and Epic versions like normal.
(It’s the various Vault armors, like Aspect of the Demon, Aspect of the Wolf, Serpent Gloves etc that you can’t get on EL, because the recipes and materials only exist on Siptah, but can be transferred; plus the delved armors such as Vicious Armor, Vagabond Armor and a bunch like that. And they’re all pure ‘Epic’ tier stuff. This gear is now some of the most powerful in the game - with weapons and armor that are better than anything the Exiled Lands has - but if you look on the forums you’ll also see plenty of comments about how unbalanced they can be, so you may not want them on the Exiled Lands anyway. I’ve used them on Siptah and they were fun, but I think in my EL game, for me, they would feel a bit to powerful.)
If you’re looking for videos that might show some of what you can get, @Wak4863 @Firespark81 and KiahonFire (all on YouTube) should have some videos covering these sorts of things (I did take a look, but could only find Wak’s review of Siptah at full release, which I think was more about the map rather than which features can also be used on EL).
Hey, thanks alot, both of you.
It seems to me that I’d be better off with one of the other DLCs rather than Isle of Siptah, for the time being. I’m happy enough in the Exiled Lands for now, and the other DLC packs will probably suit me better.
Any quick recommendations on DLCs, while the Steam sale lasts?
I’d say it really depends what you’re after - this video from Kiah was one that I remember finding useful back when I was making decisions about dlcs:
Unfortunately, that video is missing the latest couple of dlcs, but fortunately Wak’s got that covered
(Those two cover architects of argos)
And then there’s the newest (People of the Dragon) -
Thanks again. Those were helpful
