It says Update Manager encountered a problem. What do I need to do to make it work?
Go to the last tab on the launcher and click the repair button.
It doesn’t give me that option. After clicking the icon on the desktop the first thing that comes up is that error message. Also just tried downloading it again from Steam instead of Funcom and I got the same error message.
Here is my crashlog if it helps.

Try running in windows 7 or 8.1 compatibility mode
That did not work. Same error.
Try running ClientPatcher.exe as administrator, that’s helped me when I’ve seen a similar error. 8.1 compatibility mode set for the game exes as @rephaim noted also.
Ran it as administrator in Windows 8 compatibility. Same error. Tried again with Windows 7 compatibility. Once again, same error.
Any other ideas or is that all?
If the patcher crashes before it even opens you’re probably missing the DirectX 9 runtimes, which are required even if you want to run the game in DX11.
Thank you. That one actually worked.
