Dying by 'falling through the world' in Scuttlers Shortcut Cave

Dying by ‘falling through the world’ in the spider cave at Scuttler’s Shortcut.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Enter Scuttler’s Shortcut cave
  2. Keep to the path (staying on the rocks was ok)
  3. At the foot of one of the last stairs, die.
  4. Have a nightmare trying to get your gear back in this invisible deadly minefield. (Thralls and mobs were unaffected)

Edit: only managed to get gear back by taking in a bearer thrall - keep on the rocks, jump off the rocks to your body, do not take a step (cos you die), fill the bearer with your rescued gear and let them return to base on their own or order them to move to a nearby clan mate who can order them to follow from the safety of the stairs. (Big thanks to clan mates Tif & Taf for the bearer and their on-site support; big up to clan mate Fraggle for his awesome bearer idea)

Bumping the thread for 2 reasons:

  1. So others who fall afoul of this bug can see how we got over it.

  2. I’d really like some official response that this bug will be corrected (EDIT - OFFICIAL REPLY ON ANOTHER SIMILAR THREAD: THEY ARE LOOKING INTO IT). If the fix isn’t going to be any time soon, perhaps a warning sign outside the cave entrances is doable?
