I recently bought this awesome game on my PS5, this is my first time ever trying it out and as I was exploring i noticed that i cant see what i assume are imps with some sort of explosive on them and the only way i noticed them was the music charging to when you’re being attacked and i see a red bar floating in the air and then the scream or roar of the imp before some sort of explosion happens.
And when i explored swagger rock i noticed some heavy footsteps and then the music changing to the battle music and a red bar up high and the distinct sound of an elephant apparently charging me and i have no way of fighting it other than striking out against the red floating bar hoping to hit it, are the devs aware of this problem for PS5 users?

Welcome to the Forum. Invisible Elephant’s have been a thing at the Savanah spending a lot of time there lately
Supposed to be fixed with next update 
have not run into the imps . If you have thralls they can spot Invisible creatures. Also Zath spiders are very helpful
Same here, just tamed a greater rhino and its invisible also some enemies are invisible.
Sometimes helps me on PS5 to do the following. (but note you’ll have to do it again every time you play the game)
- Enter the game and choose quality mode, enter your favorite server.
- Spot the invisible animal or enemy you know it’s there (the eye balls).
- Quit the game, go to settings, change the game to performance mode, and vertical FOV to 52
- Enter the favorite server and check if the animal or enemy is visible (rendered) if yes just quit the game and change back to quality mode, get back to your server and it should be there.
- If not, then keep doing this until it works.
- I didn’t try it on PS4, but works for PS5.
- in case you play solo, it will work faster.
- in case you play online, I suggest to render first over your solo char playing and then switch to your online fav server as soon as you see the animal or enemy rendered.
I just recorded a video of me doing that, so you can see this is not mumble jumble, literally works, took me around 7 minutes.
Sometimes I have it working at first, sometimes will take me a few attempts (sometimes a lot of attempts).
But eventually it will work and you can play the game without worrying about it.
People with OCD like me, will take a long time doing that until it works

Thank you for the tip, I’ll give that a go, since I’m playing all of this solo, before I even think about joining an official server, just to learn it all, so i have a chance against some of those infamous purges!

Welcome to the forum exile, you’ll have no problem at all with purges because they’ll change anyway. But exploring the map, yes you’ll have a problem and actually it will become serious.
Unfortunately we have a lot invisible creatures, elephants, imps, boss rhinos, white dragons, Yetis, avalanches and maybe something more i forgot right now for exile lands map. For Siptah the list goes on and on…
Like you, we all want this change, no matter if we know by heart their spawns, when something is broken, it’s broken and it needs fixing, period!
So here’s my suggestions but not before to congratulate @Ostherhus for the beautiful effort and tips, you’re amazing m8 
.
Don’t walk alone! Always have a thrall with you, even when you don’t see s…t your thrall can, it doesn’t need something to be visible to fight it.
Use shields, except some boss attacks and special weapon attacks, shields works to everything else.
If your problem is night vision, then you have to know that there are consumables, legendary armor pieces and weapons that provide you night vision. If you need a list i will happily provide.
Use bedrolls! This normally should be the number one suggestion, so don’t follow order in these suggestions, they are all equally important!
When you take some distance from your house-base you name it, try to find ledges with small flats and place a bedroll, a campfire and a stone axe in the campfire. If you happen to die and it’s night, having a stone axe will provide you materials to fix a torch and a stone weapon to go and gather your loot. Exile lands are full of traps, do not afraid the situation, just show respect and do the above.
Later on that you’ll gain all the obelisks and you’ll have a maproom, you can react differently.
When you search on the map for your tombstone to gain your loot back, zoom the map. With L1 and R1 you can zoom and wide your map, it’s way easier to find the exact location if your tombstone.
Last but not least your followers must be capable to survive your journey. Some bosses are so lethal you ain’t going to believe it. So the best choice is always thralls not pets. Thralls can accept armor and weapons that’s changing their efficiency a lot, good enough to be solid choice. So head to the mount of the dead and try to gain a Berserker. They hit really hard, they have good starting stats and they come out with a star metal weapon. Trustful choice to walk around the map and come back as safe as possible.
The good and bad news is that nothing is certain, in cases you may lost a lvl20 Berserker too, but if you won’t loose you won’t learn. All it matters in this game is knowledge but you gain it the hard way. It sounds harsh but eventually you’ll understand that this is the awesome part of this game.

If you can find a t3 or named bearer they are great currently level 17 has over 8000 health points and hits really well. @GodlessDane
