Error message trying to update via steam

I have this game installed in steam.
I logged in to play yesterday and a new patch was required.
Unfortunately the patch will not install :frowning:
I keep getting the following message.

An error occurred while updating Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden (content file locked):
D\Steam\steamapps\common\Mutant YearZero\ZoneUE4.exe

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and still have the problem. I have uninstalled again, removed leftover directories, however there are many registry entries left. I am currently defragging and will reinstall once that is complete.

Any advice would be appreciated, I was very much enjoying the game.

Hey there! Sorry to hear that installation is giving ya some trouble. This can sometimes be caused by your antivirus. I would suggest disabling that temporarily and trying to install the game once more. If that doesn’t help, do the same with any firewalls you have. Please let us know if that helps or not. :slight_smile:
