You’re missing two points that shouldn’t need to be made but apparently…
- The fact that many of these threads are from the past (including some of the threads that I linked for you pages ago) proves that this has always been a topic in ARK, going back to the beginning of the game.
Your first post said, “ARK where the rules are very simple people can build and there’s no cry people asking for flags.” That’s what you said, “no cry”, that means never. Not in 2024, not in 2019, not in 2016. And yet these threads keep popping up throughout the entire history of ARK going back to the beginning. This is absolute proof, even though you don’t want to admit it, that you were wrong when you posted it and you have repeatedly refused to admit that these links prove you were wrong.
It’s possible that you might be right about one thing, this issue might not come up as often in ARK as it does in Conan, but the simple fact is that this is also an issue in ARK no matter how hard you try to deny it. It has always been an issue in ARK and it’s still an issue in ARK and the reasons should be obvious.
Why? Because Conan and ARK have very similar land claim systems.
When you build something other people can’t build near you. The way to claim land in both Conan and ARK is to build on it. If you want to claim more land you build big, putting down pillars or foundations or whatever you want to use to claim that land. Since both games use the same method for claiming land it should be obvious to anyone with a fully functioning brain that both games will have players who don’t like this system, the system that both games use, and therefore both games will have people complaining about that system.
- Now let’s look at 2023 and 2024. If you’re not familiar with ARK it might seem that the number of those threads has slowed down or maybe even stopped. The problem is that this answer overlooks something quite important, most communication for ARK has moved from the forums to Discord.
It’s true that there are fewer threads about land claim on the ARK forums than there used to be, that is because there are fewer threads about everything, on the ARK forums the large majority of communication about ARK doesn’t happen on the forums any more, it happens on Discord. This is true for every topic, not just land claim, there are fewer threads about everything on the ARK forums than there used to be because activity on the ARK forums has shrunk while activity on the ARK Discord has grown.
If you understood ARK as much as you think you do, you would already know this, but apparently you don’t, so maybe now you’ll finally understand.

People learned how to play and just a very small % wanted one change about the land claim system in the past and most changes are about pillaring because the land claim always worked very fine
Another false information again theres no fewer threads about everything the forum still active with many threads but most is about new dinos and glitchs and in discord theres almost no discutions about land claim or bases in most part when someone apper talking about land claiming its about pillaring.

But there is, just look at how many posts were made this month as compared to right after Ascended came out. There isn’t a 10th of the number of posts being made.
When you state something as a fact you might aught to verify it.
Do you need me to post; after changing my search, 23 pages of google hits for ARK land claim abuse? And when I do are you going to move the goal posts again and say only posts made in the last 24 hours count?

And itbis within tbose same guidelines that I can report spam, which is what having a refresh only base is. Spam to keep an area claimed for no actual reason gameplay wise, affecting to communities ability to build thier and actually engage in the game.

The main problem is that there is nothing to do in the game. And to solve the problem where people only log in once every 10 days and update the timer, it is necessary to return purge. And it is necessary to make sure that purge fills itself and comes at least 1-2 times a week, and will quite strong at the same time. if a person does not log in, the game itself will destroy his base. if he comes he will have to defend the base,

It wont work because conan let us have multi accounts
Think about one guy with 16 accounts he can still have 16 bases.
It wont work too in pvp since people need to build fobs to atack enemy base and sometimes put vaults to store the loot from raids
It wont work for big clans too since people will lose they right to build if they join a clan because they will have to giving up they flag banner.
And it wont work for the bazar since funcom make money selling pieces of builds and many decorations.
Funcom already showed they wanna people having more 1 base and they already talked big bases are allowed.
And now people will make more rooms for the cratfers because the living system ask you to have some items for your thralls work.
The map still to big and with many spaces to build funcom have many servers to people choice and if bases still a problem theres yet the choice to move to pvp and destroy bases , move to single player and dont find any base or move to privates with rules can fill what the player want.
