Bug Description:

Getting error “[File:C:\B\tech_exiles\code\Engine\Source\Runtime\RenderCore\Private\Rendering Thread.cpp] [Line: 959] GameThread timed out waiting for RenderThread after 60.00 secs” Game freezes and after a brief pause get this error and closes down. I don’t have a game.db file in the Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Saved directory. Only been playing for little over month. My first computer died and I just bought a brand new game computer. And now this has happened 5 times today. Bug Reproduction:

Just happens at random times. I checked the similar posts and didnt have the files they were talking about. I removed the game from Steam and reinstalled but still getting the error.

Today I have removed and reinstalled the game and STEAM. After install it still errors out. I checked bandwidth upload 52.9 download 600.3 I have just purchased this Windows 11 computer built for games with 800.00 Nivida geforce RTX2070 Super card. I must get tis fixed please. The processor is an AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 8-core processor. Just trying to give as much info as possible. I also play 7days to die on steam and it has had no issues.

Maybe it’s trivial to ask, but the drivers of the GPU are updated?
You can use also DDU to totally remove any precedent driver and starting from a totally clean start.

Any help is appreciated. It is so aggravating to die in the game and have to maybe make it back to where you are. The computer came as a set from the factory. I have run update driver on all pertinent devices including windows. I only included info on CPU and video card as I thought it would help. Nothing else including 7daystodie have issues. 7days may not be as awesome as Conan but it takes a lot of resources too.

I see you play on an online official.
You get the same random error if you try to run a SP/Coop game?
Or also, the same error if you try to play on another server online?

In your shoes, i will try to run a SP/Coop game first, play some time and see what’s happens.

Both game istances (and any other server game you start) SHOULD be separated one by the other, but honestly, i don’t play on officials, just SP/Coop, so before doing this, do a search on the forum about, i don’t want to suggest something can be detrimental for you.

Running a SP/Coop should be useful to understand if you get the same issue or not.
If you get the same error, then maybe can be something related to your pc, hard to define, because as you said, drivers are updated.
If you don’t, the problem can be just on this specific server.

I played and still have a character on the regular map. Level 60 all the 5 items to complete game. Started over here on the island to try it. Up to level 52 and yesterday I spent about an hour on the other game and no freeze.
I saw some other posts about the game.db file but it does not exist my computer. Not sure if that is suppose to be if its on line.

As always appreciate any help. Love this game but can’t continue like this. I may try to start over with sp/coop game but such a long process.

Game.db is the local database for SP/Coop.
You don’t have it because you play only on servers.
However, Siptah map had some problems and Funcom will address these on the next release of AoW.
Not sure at this point to suggest to try another server with Siptah, if the issue is code related you can’t do nothing to fix, just wait for Funcom to fix.
SP/Coop game have this advantage, you can always backup your data’s before a new age comes and in this way try to avoid some problems created by the update.
On servers, you can’t manage your own data’s.

Problem is still there. I tried a new character on a different server, Same computer, Same Island, Different server. 3 hours and no error or freezing. I am level 60 on the main map, and I am up to level 52 here. I really don’t want to start all over.

Update, Still happening 3 times yesterday 1 already today. This morning I upgraded my internet speed incase my ISP was throttling me. Time will tell. I appreciate any feedback.

Not to discourage you but we all have problem with IoS and waiting for a fix from Funcom. It may not be an you issue. It is listed as a known issue in the patch notes.
