Fatal Error - UE4 Conan Sandbox

Bug Description:

When I launch the game, I receive an error stating, “the UE4-ConanSandbox Game has crashed…” with the crash information being “Fatal error!” I would attach my log file, but the website is preventing me, since I am a new user. This is a brand new installation, and I do not have any mods. I have done the following troubleshooting:

  • Restarted my computer.
  • Restart Steam, and run as administrator.
  • Verified that Windows was up-to-date.
  • Verified that my Nvidia driver was up-to-date.
  • Verified game files through Steam.
  • Uninstalled the game, then reinstalled it.

I have looked over numerous posts here and elsewhere and attempted the “fixes” that were suggested, but the game continues to crash at the exact same spot. Would someone be able to offer some assistance?
