Favorite Server Not Saving In Browser

Game mode: Online private
Type of issue: Bug
Server type: PvE
Region: North America

Upon refreshing the in-game server browser, marking favorites with the Favorites button, marks the server. After closing the game and re-launching, favorite servers do not populate the favorites tab, nor do they prioritize at the top of the browser list like they did before the 16.6 patch.

Hey @zandog

We’re aware of this issue, it is a temporary side-effect of the emergency hotfix deployed last night to deal with this issue:

We’re working on a hotfix that should get rid of this and other related issues.

@Ignasis - I assume you (your developers) are already aware of this:
It is still possible to create favorites in the ConEx internal server browser but for some reason those entries seem to be added with random ports[1] as shown in the Steam out-game server browser.

Screenshot of Steams Server Browser with 8 entries for the same server.

But even the normal entry with port 27015 I added before the update is shown as offline despite the server running and working.

In regards to ??? instead of ping -> My server sometimes(?) appears a second time in the server browser.

In-Game Screenshot of duplicate server.

[1] maybe the used outgoing port to query the server is used instead of the server’s one?

Hey @Limer

There’s a hotfix planned for today with fixes to those issues.

Favorites still not saving. Recent servers not listing first. I have to manually search every time I log on or copy and paste into direct connect.

Jiroc, it’s a known issue and partially fixed on testlive. The easiest way someone advised me to find my server was to sort by level. Those servers, if they have loaded yet, will pop to the top since the ones you have not played are zero.

Workaround, for sure, but for the time being, it’s good for me. Hopefully, we will get a full fix with the next update.

Regards

jim
