Reminds me of one of Shadiversity’s castle builds
I found it several years ago probably here on Forum
It’s actually funny how much impact shadiversity‘s video made. He has only 7 videos about Conan exiles, but even @Wak4863 was mentioning shad in a stream just a few months ago.
He said his base was inspired by shad‘s castle vanburg.
Really impressive!
I loved this guy and he was inspirational back when PVP was more…limited. Sounds weird but PVP was better when thralls had bite, gods were off, walls and foundations were strong, and sorcery wasn’t around. Why? Because PVP back then wasn’t about player vs player as much as base design strategies and trying to deal with that. When you focus on the actual PVP, the base aspects suffer and the design shifts to being online is META and if you aren’t, then you are dead and hidden bases matter more than base design strategies.
I’m absolutely with you on this!
That made CE so interesting for me in comparison to other PvP games.
Not only could we have great combat.
We also had that element of tactics and strategy like in a age of empires or dawn of war.
It basically combined most aspects of the games i love…
Sad to see where it’s going.
Some PvP players might argue for what do you need followers and bases in a PvP game?
But we could ask the same question the other way around, why playing CE if all these people want is “pure PvP”?
There are plenty of games which offer that.
CE provides that in PVE-C. That was the main issue with CE, the modes of the game didn’t have the right designates.
-
PVE is PVE. No issues there.
-
PVE-C is actually PVP and it’s setting encourage player combat and dueling since you can’t do anything else.
-
PVP is actually Conquest in that you are trying to take down rulers, lords and barons. seizing their territories, materials, and wealth.
I think when spelled out in this manner, you get harmonization in that you can adjust settings in here #2 should lower the effects of thralls so that player and fighting eachother while #3 should have these thralls more adept at defense. There are 3 distinct versions vs 2 with something inbetween. But this is spilled milk in that sense…too little, too late and the game suffered for it as PVP was morphed in a PVP game with the ability to destroy other player means of equalization in PVP way too easy and the one game mode that would encourage pvp doesn’t and is considered the ugly step child as far server resources go because it’s just defined as a combo of the 2 types they planned for.
Great video. His voice is familiar I may have seen this along time ago. After all I stumbled across this game by listening to KiahOnFire when she was playing Beta.
If they sold you a complete set for the overpriced mark, how could they sell you more parts of the set to turn even more profit?
