Bug Description:
Flying became Excruciatingly slow, as if walking overburdened, slower. I used to fly normal speed even when overburdened, then I will press left shift for bursts of speed. Now, normal flying is at a snails pace and left shift burst speed is like normal sprinting. I am also aware of the speed setting which I also use occasionally to increase my burst speed. So something changed perhaps in my settings or a key toggle. I have tried selecting “Sprint Toggle” which lasts only until I Stop moving or run into something. Never had to worry about “Sprint Toggle” before. So something changed today. Can’t figure out what I did or how to fix this? I tried restarting the game and my PC.
It sounds like you accidentally decreased your fly speed to the minimum of 50 cm/s, which is the same speed as walking while encumbered with the Quickfooted perk.
The base fly speed can be 50 to 8000 cm/s. Sprint-flying is always 1500 cm/s regardless what you’ve set your base fly speed to.
You say you are aware of the speed setting, but to clarify, are you speaking of these settings?
Even if you are aware of them, you should check them to see if they accidentally were changed and hit whatever you have bound for the Increase Fly Speed button several times to increase your base fly speed back up again.
I know I kept hitting the wrong key when flying and it really slowed me down. I ended up remapping the Fly Speed keys to my number pad. Its been working great now.
I did increase my flying speed and it worked. I had completely forgotten about these controls and it seems I went crazy and hit the slow down key a little too much.
