FOV is grayed out

So im having troubles with the field of view and I can not change it in any way whatsoever, its completely greyed out and I cant do anything, does anyone know how to fix this its been like this on the ps4 and still the same on the ps5

Unfortunately on Playstation you can change the FOV only in performance mode, not in Quality mode.

You have to select the performance mode before you start a single player game or join a server, at the main menu:

Then you can adjust the FOV ingame, this is the maximum view:
