Funcom Live Services - Failed to Login

Type of issue: Bug/Infinite Loop - Game Unplayable

Funcom Live Services is completely broke offline/singleplayer for me. The game cannot be played if it is unable to connect to Funcom Live Services.

Anytime I hit any option on the main menu, the game will try to connect to Funcom Live Services, fail to connect, then displays a message stating “Please restart or try again later.” Restarts to do resolve the issue. Reboot and restart does not resolve the issue.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Launch game (tried both: Steam launch and Icon to the .exe file launch)
  2. Movie plays (everything loads just fine)
  3. Tries to connect to Funcom Live Services
  4. Fails to connect to Funcom Live Services
  5. Game will not play

NOTE: No mods and files have been validated.

The game was playing fine earlier today, but now it just won’t connect anymore. No known reason as to why.

UPDATE: For some reason, it just started working again. Ignore the above as an immediate concern, but please have the devs go over the “Funcom Live Services” again to see if there’s anything that might glitch game access. A little optimization there probably couldn’t hurt.

Hello @Bodin, to clarify the short downtime that occured at the time of your post was due to Steam services being down, as we use their authentication services.

When these disruptions happen they usually last for a short period of time, and there’s no workaround or anything that we can do on our end, unfortunately.
