bit of background; My account was suspended right around when the new rules were implemented, this earned me a 2 week ban, not permanent in nature.
I’d like to change my FuncomID, but I was told that previous or active disciplany actions prevent this.
Can anyone explain few thing to me:
How long is my account going to be flagged like this?
Why can’t I change my account name because of this, there should be internal documentation about bans and their reasons. So no real reason to not allow the FuncomID change, escpecially because my account was suspended for the bare minimum time and for very minor issue considering that the game is plagued by speedhackers and other type of exploiters.
I requested change for my FuncomID throught the in-game menus (Conan exiles), and via email i had an interaction with them, the response was:

Greetings Exile,
We understand you would like us to change your Funcom ID. However, at this moment, I can’t proceed with the change as your ID is locked from changes due to previous or active disciplinary actions.
Please note the only exceptions in this scenario would be if your current ID displays sensitive or personal information.
After this I tried to ask how long does that affect and I was directed to ban appeal, and I couldn’t get a straight answer there. Seemed to me that they thought that my account is currently suspended:

Thank you for your reply.
It would be a pleasure to assist you, however since your account has already been suspended, we’re no longer able to assist you with a Funcom ID change.
We hope you understand and we wish you a great day!"
Disclaimer: I don’t work for or with Funcom. I’m just another player trying to help.
Did you get that in writing? Specifically, do you have any written proof that it was a 2 week ban? If you did, then you can go to Zendesk and submit a “ban appeal” ticket, in which you can explain that your account seems to be ban permanently but you were told that it was only for 2 weeks. Maybe that will get your account reinstated and then you can proceed with the FuncomID change.
This is quite interesting. Ok so I was always under the impression that FuncomID changes were only granted based on reasonable requests; so this kinda supports that.
But what they seem to be implying is that if there’s been no action taken on your account that you can change your FuncomID for any reason.
It also tells me that their own internal policies require that static ID and changing, for good reasons, might be a pain to accomplish in their databases.
I don’t really have a heavy reason for it, other than I want it to be more separate from my SteamID, because the name was directly pulled from steam profile.
It was very long time ago, I don’t think I have documentation of it, but it would stand to reason that they themselves have documentation as it is referenced as the reason. I have send an email full of questions regarding this so I can better understand this, but their answers ar vague at best. I can’t get any specifics.
That would effectively make the #numbers pointless in the ID, because to my understanding they are there in case of same or similar names. All I was asking to change the name part of the ID, example: Conan#99999 → Atlas#99999.
