Game crash after latest update Age of War Chapter 3

Bug Description:

Game freezes then crash on login screen with the error “Failed to Login! Steam online services are unresponsive.” After update to AOW3. Fatal error: [File:C:\B\tech_exiles\code\Engine\Source\Runtime\Core\Private\HAL\MallocBinned2.cpp][Line: 1164]FMallocBinned2 Attempt to realloc an unrecognized block 0000000000750000 canary == 0x0 != 0xe3

Bug Reproduction:

Normal start of the game with no mods enabled. Bug appeared after last update to the game.

Thank you for your report. Please follow the steps to verify your game files:

  1. Open Steam
  2. In Library, click with the right button on the game and select “Properties”
  3. Select the Installed files
  4. Select Verify integrity of game files….

Are you using the Steam Beta Client?

I was able to get the game working by switching over to the standard client. The beta client is apparently having issues with a bunch of games right now.
