Game mode: Online Official Server 2508 Pve-Conflict
Problem: Crash
Region: Canada, Quebec
When I join the server, about 75% of the time, the game crash after only some seconds and bring me back to the Xbox Menu. I need to re-open the game, and try to re-log to the server. Sometime I can play after 2-3 try sometime I need change game because it just won’t work at all Here some stuff I try and some info I have about his problem :
I try waiting for the server list to have finish loading all information on all available server completely before try to join the server. Maybe i try to join to fast I tought ? Doesn’t seem to help
When I join the server 2508, I try to no move (not even the camera) for 1-2 minutes to let the game fully load the server stuff. Doesn’t seem to help too.
I notice that sometime the game crash only after I move (character or only camera), If i join the server and don’t move at all, game seem fine. Move the camera of a inch and back to Xbox Menu…
The number of people online doesn’t seem to affect the crash, It crash if there is 20 people or just 2.
If the game doesn’t crash in the fist 60 seconds after you join the server, it will not crash after 2, 3,
or 10 minutes
Steps on how to reproduce issue:
open Server Pve-Conflict list
choose server 2508
when you join the server, it should crash in the next 60 secondes

It’s a simple (if somewhat aggravating) fix. When you crash to dashboard from the server, reopen the game and select Single Player, make sure to use the option to play offline (X button) and then walk around for a second or two. Then quit single player and rejoin the online server, you should be fine.
My little ritual is to pull up a filter that lists the server I want to join in the server list, and wait.
Soon the list will refresh and display all servers and ignore the filter setting, I then refresh the list by pressing the assigned button, and only then I will join my server.
In the past 3 months, I have only dropped 2 or 3 times after following my ritual. Though this may just be a superstition.

Do the crashes occur regardless of how many player built structures exist in area you’re loading?
Could you let us know if this occurs in any other server, and whether the workarounds shared above help reduce the crashes?
If not, could you please ensure that your save is stored on the XBOX cloud before trying each of the following steps and letting us know if they help:
Reset the console cache by holding the power button for about 10 seconds until the console powers off, then disconnecting it from the power outlet for a couple of minutes, then try loading the server.
Try to perform a soft factory reset while keeping games and apps.
Lastly, please try to perform a full reinstall of the game.
I don’t know if the crash occur in other area with different level of structure. I always log off in the security of my base, wich is not very big compare to other player.
It occur also on the server 2509 official pve-conflict sometime but I mostly play on the 2508 official pve-conflict. It try the tips of " LostInTim " and I seem to work.
I have already do a hard reset ( hold power 10 sec ) and reinstall the game yesterday but I haven’t done the soft factory reset.
I’m gonna continue doing the tips of LostInTim, it seem to work fine.
