Game freezes when equiping weapons

**Game mode: Single-player
**Type of issue: Crash
**Server type: PvE

I start a new game in singleplayer. Then I folow the road, collecting resources, until I reach the areas where first enemies can spawn. So I stop spending my levelpoints and crafting armour and the first harvesting tools.
The tools are deposit automatically in the toolbar, so I press the number to equip them. That’s the point where the game freezes.
I would have posted an image of the crash notification, but I can’t cause I’m new to the forums. I’ll retry that soon.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Make a new game
  2. Start collecting Resources
  3. craft pickaxe/axe
    4.equip pickaxe or axe then freeze

Check your mods. This is a common issue when using an out of date mod.
