Hair/beard color palette has changed after Siptah with existing characters, and you cannot create same hair or beard colors than before Siptah. Example picture what character looks before Siptah and loading same game after. I tried palette in single player too, so I do not think this is server or mod related.
I posted originally this other forum and but I realized this is the proper place. I do apologies for that, but it did confirm I am not alone with this issue.
I am happy to test or clarify anything, but I think this should be super easy to reproduce as long as you can compare it to the pre-Siptah build.
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
Create new male character
Try make blonde hair and beard
Notice there is no such option to have blonde beard anymore. There is one blondish hair, but no matching beard color. Beard seems to different lighting/gamma something to it than hair, even if it claims to be same color.
I’d like to add that, on top of breaking the hair and beard colors, the update seems to have introduced (or increased) disparity between hairstyle and beard colors, also visible on RedForgedSteel’s image. Choosing the same color for both, beards seem to always be a fair bit darker than hairstyles. This hasn’t been the case before the big update.

I am seeing exactly the same bug for both hair and beards. Blonde hair is now brown. Some hairstyles seem to be be less affected overall, instead showing very dark hair roots, like a bad dye job. Beards are much darker than the exact same hair color.
Thank you for the work you do, the transparency on fixing this bug is very much appreciated. We just want to look at our character’s pretty hair again.
is there any news as to how long it will take until this is fixed? (this is totally not a message so the tpic won’t get closed or anything, nuh-uh)
I know it’s not a game breaking thing but it’s just so depressing that none of the beards match hairstyles anymore and some of the hairstyles now look like cheap wigs rather than hair. It’s so appaling that I actually stopped playing for a bit because I cannot stand the sight of my character anymore, it just looks wrong.
This is troubling news. We only had the one shade of blonde beforehand, and as myself and other users have previously discussed, considering that there are so many Nordheimers in the game, a good blonde thrall is surprisingly hard to find! Even more so a T4 one. (@Mikey do you recall our critiquing of this previously? ) I hope that this issue is resolved. And in addition, that when character customisation eventually makes its grand entrance, that we get a few additional shades of blonde added to the game. While I certainly wouldnt expect all of the following to be added to the game, here are some good examples:
